The Word According to POZ Magazine:
Heterosexual AIDS epidemic a 'false medical panic women cannot transmit AIDS to male partners.'
You know change is in the air when a staunchly orthodox AIDS magazine like POZ runs a feature article on 'the myth of heterosexual AIDS.'
The October 2001 cover story 'We've Got the Juice,' begins with this intriguing lead paragraph: 'These women thought they had killer vaginas. Then they learned girls don't give guys AIDS. Now they're sticking it to the officials and advocates who made the myth of heterosexual AIDS,' and goes on from there into a surprising, sometimes bizarre, expose of sorts. Here are a few interesting quotes :'
If we are talking about a heterosexual AIDS epidemic, transmission efficiency would have to go both ways. It doesn't. It stops with a woman and will not cause an epidemic. Plenty of people have known and denied this from the beginning. It all started as a way for AIDS advocates to raise funds. Dr. Joesph Sonnabend, MD, founder, AmFAR 'According to the US Centers for Disease Control1s surveillance report for the year 2000, of all estimated AIDS cases, only 3 percent were heterosexually transmitted'
POZ journalist Patrick Califia 'Among New York City's 15,000 AIDS cases, there were only eight female to male transmissions, and I have doubts about seven.' Former Department of Health investigator Anastasia Lekatas.-
The article also includes the odd contention that men get AIDS from women in Africa and other developing nations, but they do not get AIDS from women in the developed worlds a difference that has not been adequately explained.
I did not find this issue or article at the POZ web site, but according to information there, you can purchase single back issues by calling toll free 800/9-READ POZ, or outside the US 815/734-4151. Please note that subscriptions are offered free of charge to HIV positives.

But that's just too simple. And besides, what liberal wants to stay monogamous. Boooooo-ring.
/sarcasm
I do agree.
I wonder if AIDS in Africa has any connection with years of the WHO promoting anal sex as effective birth control?
Keep Safe........lol
Brazil, a country with extensive ethnic and cultural ties to Sub-Saharan Africa, is rife with AIDS. Simply put, many urban Brazilians accept as normal the practice of anal sex. They also regard chastity as something of a joke and their regard for Christian values is marginal, at best. I think the same attitude applies to the non-Christianized people of the Sub-Sahara and accounts for the AIDS epidemic there.
Humans weren't meant to ingest urine and excrement; it's just not healthy. If people in general began cracking open the sewer pipes in the streets and started eating the contents thereof, then even the healthiest of immune systems would take a beating. Yet it seems that homosexuality in practice does just that.
Money grabbing 'AIDS' charities try to keep the fear going in order to retain their $300,000 a year salaries and first class trips to AIDS conventions in exotic places.

"HIV mortality declined 26 percent in 1996, 48 percent in 1997, and 21 percent in 1998."
"While the five leading causes of death in 1999: Heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic lower respiratory disease (formally classified as "Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and allied conditions"), and accidents (unintentional injuries) remained unchanged from the previous year, some significant changes did occur in the ranking of leading causes.
"The disease (AIDS) was the eighth leading cause of death in 1996, dropped out of the top 10 leading causes of death last year, and no longer ranks among the top 15 leading causes of death today."
"The number of reported cases of gonorrhea increased steadily from 1964 to 1977, fluctuated through the early 1980s, increased until 1987, and since 1987 has decreased annually"

The percentage of heterosexual AIDS as reported by each State are: -
Calif: - 2% Washington - 2% Idaho 14% Utar 5% Montana 10% Colorado 4.9% N. Dekota 9.3% Nabraska 9% Oklahoma 6% Texas 8% Minnesota 12% Missouri 7% Arkansas 13% Louisiana 4% Wisconsin 8.3% Illinois 7.9% Kentucky 11% Alabama 1% Ohio 8% W. Virginia 9% Virginia 15% Georgia 13% Florida 16% Michigan 2% Pennsylvania 12% Maryland 3.6% Maine 6.8% New Hampshire 8% Mass. 8% Connecticut 15.9% Rhode Island 16% Dist. of Columbia 16% Hawaii 5% Alaska 7%
I find it hard to understand how the CDC can know better than the local State health Authorities (who compile the figures from local hospitals) what the figures are. This is one of thousands of examples of how AIDS figures are blatently exagerated to serve political and financial interests.
These figures have dropped sharply in the year two thousand.
I remember in the early 80s, when Diane Feinstein was Mayor of San Francisco, and she tried to close down the notorious bath-houses. In fact, this was before they even called it AIDS (GID, gay immune disease, or something like that). Many early cases of AIDS had been traced to the ferociously promiscuous anal sex scene in the bath-houses, and DiFi (for once doing the right thing) tried to close them as a matter of public health. The radical sodomites threw a fit, accusing her and the SF City Council of "stigmatizing" them. So the City Council backed down in the crucial early stages of the plague. This awakened gay activists to the political clout they could gain though playing to ignorant sympathies. After this, the possibility of an AIDS quarantine was never seriously discussed.
Meanwhile, AIDS raged on, and homosexuals died miserably by the hundreds of thousands.
My cousin was at UCSF medschool in '85 and '86, right at the epicenter. We had a conversation just after Rock Hudson died, and he told me back then that there wasn't going to be a heterosexual epidemic. Anal sex was paritcularly suited to the transmission of AIDS, followed by IV drug use. And he's a pro-Gay Rights Democrat!
As far as the "heterosexual" AIDS in Africa, what we've been told is probably not as true as the activists would have us believe. Bisexuality is far more prevalent in Africa than is generally reported. So is prostitution in a region poor in antibiotics. The real avenues of sexual entry for AIDS into the "heterosexual" population are other venereal diseases and bisexual men.
I know less about India than Africa, but it's also important to keep in mind that clean water, regular bathing, and personal hygiene inhibit STDs to an extent. Also, in Africa, there are many types of biting insects which transmit blood-borne diseases... malaria, sleeping sickness, etc. Lots of other variables in that particular petrie dish.
Everything that we've "learned" about AIDS in the last 5 to 10 years, everything that Michael Fumento has ever written on the subject-- no heterosexual plague, etc.-- ALL of that was known or strongly suspected all the way back in the mid-80s!
How many have died in this country and around the world, because of the gay rights agenda?
This plague could have easily been stopped, if the truth had been told early on and if proper steps had been taken to treat this like any other lethal infectious disease.
