Please explain "CHEESE" to me.

Ok,

As a relatively new Freeper, I haven't a clue to what CHEESE means.... yes, I know the stuff a person can eat. But there are the "Must like cheese" statements and the like. I did a search and there was no good explanation that I could find. Anyone caring to explain on this vanity post, please enlighten a new freeper.

Regards

Delta-Boudreaux

Not to mention a prize winning 'Cuiver Reserve Chateau Bottled Nuit San Wogga Wogga', which has a bouquet like an aborigine's armpit.

My cheese has a long moustache.

My cheese beats with a curious langour.

Groan! You had to ask!

It seems to be a new and hopefully short-lived tradition that any use of the word cheese, or moose, or mention of someones bases belonging to somebody else is simply an excuse for the liberal use of bad jokes and puns.

Inevitably, someone will mention bases belonging to somebody else, there will be a "joke" about cutting cheese and Lazmataz will mention that his sister once bit a moose, or was it that a moose bit his sister?

Laz, how do you do those cool fake Finnish alphabetic characters?

You might know that your posting is not being taken seriously if someone posts that they like cheese.

Bingo.

You might also try referring to The Cheese Shop skit done by Monty Python. Obtaining cheese in those days was much like hunting snipe...

Explain cheese!

One can't explain cheese. Cheese is an experience. You must be one with the cheese.

"What did Ed Meese ever do to you?"

I knew someone was going to ask that.
Actually I didn't specify Ed Meese. Just Meeses.
Haven't got a thing against Ed. Rather nice chap you know.
It's the rest of the stinking lot that gives me the screaming heebie jeebies.
Seems that none of them care for cheese. Can't abide that.

If someone is whining too much, you say to them "Do you want some cheese with your wine?" So the cheese reference just means they are a whiner.

You gave it away!

I take my cheese very seriously. I do not find my sharp cheddar keeps as gouda edge as I'd like.

pr0n //

[Usenet, IRC] Pornography. Originally this referred only to Internet porn but since then it has expanded to refer to just about any kind. The term comes from the warez kiddies tendency to replace letters with numbers. At some point on IRC someone mistyped, swapped the middle two letters, and the name stuck, then propagated over into mainstream hacker usage. New versions of the Mozilla web browser internally refer to the image library as "libpr0n"Compare filk, grilf, hing and newsfroup.

Overcome by the heat and the vino,
Became quite unruly,
Expounding Bernoulli,
And was killed by the crowd playing Keno.
