Amazing! New York and the Macy's Parade aren't big enough for both Miss America and Miss Universe! YIKES!!! I do see it as a global manuver and Americans should boycott Macy's if they don't like it!

Whose ass should we kick? Miss Universe or Miss America? I'm not sure your post was clear on that point.

My money was on Miss Greece

Maybe I'm wrong about this but I thought I read somewhere that the current Miss America refuses to wear her crown. Wow! The plot thickens! (and the symbolism too!)

You forgot the $50,000+ plastic surgery so they can go from pretty to pretty (the surgery is to outdo the other Miss Joneses).

At least they didn't invite Miss Palestine (shudder).

The second photo of Miss Greece was obviously taken after the full-body electrolysis.

Miss Universe has a much better crown.

Well now...that's real American....I am taking Macy's off the list for shopping as well as Walgreens. Walgreens is not showing an American Flag at any of their stores and they call themselves "America's Pharmacy".

Yes she does...:)

Ever since this year's pageant, I've had a bad feeling. The winner wasn't as attractive as some of the runners-up. My immediate gut reaction was, "This girl's a ringer. She's not going to serve out her term. They just let her take the crown because they were afraid of a terrorist attack on the Atlantic City casinos on September 22. Something will happen and Miss Massachusetts will receive the crown later on." I don't remember seeing Miss Oregon take the traditional walk down the aisle or sit on her throne or anyone singing "Here she is..." I could be wrong about this, but it just seemed to me that once they knew who the winner was, they hustled her offstage and ended the pageant as quickly as possible. It was as if they were afraid of an assassination attempt or something. The next day, she announced that the focus of her reign would be helping terror victims, and I thought "Oh no, target time!" Does anyone agree with me?

Thanks for the very pleasing photos.
Looks like Miss Greece hasn't been overdoing the baklava (sp?)!

sit on her throneMiss Oregon-America (PC dictates that all Americans shall now be hyphenated) either sits on, or kneels in front of the throne frequently, judging by her emaciated figure.

Miss Oregon took the walk as Tony Danza sang the Miss America song. Miss Mass wouldn't be Miss America if Oregon can't fulfill her duties because Miss Tennessee, who REALLY SHOULD HAVE WON, came in second.

Miss Greece was very beautiful, unfortunately she lacked the personality and charisma necessary to be a Miss Universe.

Can't we just be fair and have Miss Black America on the float? /sarcasm
