Should Conservatives Support Rudeness? Why booing Senator Clinton is beneath us.
self

Posted on 10/23/2001 1:51:57 PM PDT by watsonfellow

First of all, to prevent the flamings, I should say that I am a strong conservative, and my number one issue is the life issue and so I am not at all a supporter of the Clintons etc.

That being said, I thought it the height of rudeness for these firemen and policemen to boo and yell at the Senator this weekend. It lacked dignity and class. I thought we conservatives were supposed to stand for such things, or perhaps this is just what we say, but do not practice.

I wonder what Burke et al would have said about this conservative embrace of very questionable manners.

The policemen and firemen should have just done nothing when she appeared on stage, no clapping, no booing, the silence would have expressed the same thing, but in a much more dignified way.

She has been verbally supportive (even very supportive) of W, sincere or not I'm grateful for that.

What choice does she have?

And just maybe some of those police officers and firemen remember HER supporters spitting on them during one of her infrequent and handpicked campaign stops.

They might also remember she declared the police officers in NYC who were later ACQUITTED guilty.

Or they might remember that she AND her husband freed OTHER terrorists!

Why not???? She is a vicious person and a sociopath!! She should be booed WHEREEVER she goes. The trouble with conservatives such as you is that you want to play by gentlemen's rules which is fine if you are dealing with gentlemen.
It's about time we play by their rules and give them as good as they give us.

This is a war between right and wrong make no mistake about that. The left has to be exposed for what they are, i,e; Anti-American, Anti-Freedom, Anti- Individualism.

Wake up and start booing the bitches both male and female!

Then we can go back to being gentlemen and gentlewomen WITH gentlemen and gentlewomen.

Hillary and her husband belong in jail for treason - at a minimum. Their appearing in public posing as decent people is an insult to every decent, law abiding American. She deserved far worse than booing - a few tomatoes, eggs, and varied vegetables would have been even more appropriate.

Scum do not deserve respect.

I know, I know. I guess that "love your enemies...do good to them who spitefully use you.." (something like that) makes me soft sometimes. I think that doesn't mean "be a doormat" which she would gleefully make out of her every political foe.

I can admit when I am wrong. (I just don't need to very often, lol)

Well, not to be outdone (LOL), so can I. You are right -- she has been at least VERBALLY supportive of Bush, but you cannot discount her display during his speech to Congress! And we shall see just how long she keeps it up!

And I know we are suppose to be better than they are, and we hate it when they do it to us, but I swear, it just made my dang day when they booed her because it proved what we here at FR have said all along: her audiences and her interviews are handpicked and she is NEVER around the great unwashed masses that could/would ask her questions about every "scandal" she has been involved in.

At last, she was in a situation she could not control -- and see what she got -- DISAPPROVAL.

I loved it! They humiliated US for eight years; their turn! Think of it this way: he SHOULD have been removed from office, but since he wasn't, public humiliation and exposure works for me!

These people (clintoons) are shameless. You remember the memorial service at the stadium in NY not long after the attack? Oprah Winfrey was the presenter. When it was time to present Lee Greenwood and "God Bless the USA" she said it was "Bill Clinton's signature song" and tried to attach him shamelessly to it as well. PUKE ALERT! PUKE ALERT!

I feel it was completely appropriate to boo Hillary. Applause and booing has been used for many years to convey sentiments.

She needs to know what people think of her.
