Should Conservatives Support Rudeness? Why booing Senator Clinton is beneath us.
self

Posted on 10/23/2001 1:51:57 PM PDT by watsonfellow

First of all, to prevent the flamings, I should say that I am a strong conservative, and my number one issue is the life issue and so I am not at all a supporter of the Clintons etc.

That being said, I thought it the height of rudeness for these firemen and policemen to boo and yell at the Senator this weekend. It lacked dignity and class. I thought we conservatives were supposed to stand for such things, or perhaps this is just what we say, but do not practice.

I wonder what Burke et al would have said about this conservative embrace of very questionable manners.

The policemen and firemen should have just done nothing when she appeared on stage, no clapping, no booing, the silence would have expressed the same thing, but in a much more dignified way.

If you click on this guy's name, you will find a pompous weenie who tells us that he is "traipsing about Europe presently."

I discovered his bio on Sunday when he was bombastically calling me a fascist and socialist for wanting crop dusters to be monitored closely. What a blowhard. In words of the type he would use, I find his rhetoric to be oleaginously faux erudition.
In other words, he's a smarmy intellectual phony.

Well, they booed Bob Dylan when he went electric. If it's good enough for Bob, it's good enough for Hil.

BTW, you should hear the boos our Republican congressman gets in the 4th of July parade.

First of all I have to say that just being recent graduate of college does not give you a degree in life. In order to understand these people's distain for the Clintons I think you need a bit more life's experience. Shame on you for trying to scold a human reaction to a very distasteful situation. Anyone who doesn't boo when they see Hitlery trying to climb on the backs of victims to benefit herself should have their head examined. Books and degrees don't give you all of the answers of life.

It lacked dignity and class.

Nonsense. A big part of the "conservatives" problem for YEARS is that we think we can just use logic with no emotion. Doesn't work. And the left has CAPITALIZED on the emotion card.

Besides, what kind of dignity and class SHOULD we give to a person who a) hates this country and all that it stands for, and b) has committed probably hundreds of illegal acts, possibly including many murders, for her own personal gain?

What drives me crazy is that it has taken this horror to make people look at her, and him in a greater than superficial manner. The truth was there for all to see.....if only they would have looked...

Watching her smug arrogance the last 8 years, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the loud boos she received and so richly deserved. No one on this forum could be accused of having less class than the Clintons. Not possible. I only wish she had talked longer so that the sound-bites were more sustained than 20 seconds.

No. Silence would have been spun by Hillary's enablers as being a sign of respect -- "those policemen and firemen love Hillary soooo much, they got all quiet to listen to her speak." It's pretty hard to spin booing.

And some have said if it weren't for Papa Bush and his Gulf War errors as well as his middle eastern alliances, September 11 never would have happened. Neither viewpoint is 100% right nor 100% wrong

Since the media, for the most part, has done NOTHING to expose the Clinton's and DNC for what they are (criminals) it is incumbent upon us to show our displeasure at EVERY opportunity. Then, when the media hides our displeasure, as they did in this case, it demonstrates their complicity in the criminal activities of the DNC and Clintons. As far as I'm concerned, booing is an EXCELLENT non-violent means of civil disobedience. And YES, Hillary was involved in the death of Vince Foster (one more dirty little secret that the mainstream media has covered up from day one).

Not really:
"Then there was her petulant performance during President Bush's speech to Congress a month ago. He's talking courage, endurance, patience, love. She's grimacing, rolling her eyes, chatting away, clapping stingily, as if it hurt. "

It actually matched the dignity and class (or lack thereof) of the Clintons. It was a long time coming and well earned.

Rudeness has its appropriate season. This was especially so.

Democrats must be stopped. They WILL DESTROY THIS NATION.

The ceaseless lying, arrogance, perversion, and corruption they encourage are eating away at the moral fiber of this country like a cancer.

Always EXPOSE DEMOCRATS AS SOCIALISTS!.

Never miss an oppurtunity to ask a Democrat if he is a card carying socialist.Always refer to democraps as "leftists", and inquire why their parties symbol is a jackass.

If a Democrap is being rude and obnoxious to you, BE RUDER AND MORE OBNOXIOUS back.

Always hate Dumbocrats.Democrats are STUPID. Democrats are EVIL. EXPOSE THE LEFT. DON"T LET THEM HIDE!

No, they did just what they should have done. Scream, yell and boo her off the stage. Heroes don't have to be PC.

With all due respect, this vanity is silly, and wrong.

Forget fellow conservatives for a moment. Remember the sheeple. Our so-called fellow citizens who'd vote for Vlad the Impaler for president, if the mass media tells them that (a) Vlad is the candidate 'everyone' prefers, so get with the program, and (b)only a racistsexistmisogynistzenophobicrednecktrailertrashbigot would not want Vlad to be elected . The media loves to "build consensus" that way...Look at WJC. The press knew the man is filth, but they concealed all the scandals about him as best they could, and downplayed what they could not conceal. Why? because they thought he felt the way most of them feel (Not think. Feel) about affirmative action, abortion, and a few other liberal obsessions. So the sheep elected that thing twice, even when it became known that even the media was calling WJC's female supporters the "wet panty" vote, revealing their contempt for them. And the end result of the media's desire to foist liberal politicians on the public in the guise of moderates? A traitor in the WH , who sold military and other vital screts to the Chinese, and no doubt many others.

Every time Hitlery is booed...every time she is freeped, and her misdeeds are presented to a public which will not hear of them any way save through public protests (Look how the media is concealing her reception. Never mind serious scandals), every time the growing contempt for her is made visible, it makes it a little harder for the DNC and their supporters in the mass media (80% of them at least) to make that vile sow a viable candidate, or to fool the sheep into thinking she's a positive female role model, or whatever guff it is that they swallow.

What's more, anyone who's read her junk or listened to certain remarks she's made knows that HRC thinks of most people as stupid, worthless things beneath her, who need to be protected and manipulated by an all wise, all powerful elite. And she thinks most of her fellow Americans like her, like her plans for our future, don't care if she destroys the EC-She needs, and deserves, to have her nose rubbed in our contempt and loathing.

They should have booed her right off that stage. Free expression, and a very appropriate reaction to the Clintons, whose corrupt regime has done far more damage to this country than we could possibly do to them with such legitimate reaction.

And the boos should be followed up by impeachment for Hitlery, lawsuits against Bill for the damage he did to this country such as the events of 9/11.
