October 22, 2001 -- WASHINGTON - Both houses of Congress open for business this morning, but 19 nearby buildings will remain shuttered for at least one more day, police said yesterday.
"The legislative business of the nation continues," said Sgt. Dan Nichols, a spokesman for the Capitol Police.

These Congress folks are pitiful - they are a bunch of moral eunuchs and spineless cowards. The only good news is that they are not meeting and can do no harm. The horrible part is the message these cowards send to our enemies.

They remove all the Congressmen. Our lives, liberty, and property were never safer than when anthrax was found on the Hill.
Apparently, the Capitol was reinfected with 535 tax-thrax spores today.
It was the sensible thing to do. When you have been compromised, the area has to be swept, badges re-issued, procedures updated, and risk factors weighed!

Once again the House has shown it's moral superiority over a corrupt spin drived Senate .
You mean 435, the stupid 100 Senators didn't know enough to get out of the rain. Thank heaven for the House, since 94 they held the line while the Senate was swallowed up by all the corruption.
