October 22, 2001 -- WASHINGTON - Both houses of Congress open for business this morning, but 19 nearby buildings will remain shuttered for at least one more day, police said yesterday.

"The legislative business of the nation continues," said Sgt. Dan Nichols, a spokesman for the Capitol Police.

Congress, then: "Now, now, let's everybody go about their business - not to do so would be to give in to the terrorists." Congress, now: "Oh, goodness, we're too important to have anything happen to us. We have to leave - it's really for the good of the Nation, not us. Maybe we could operate on a military base, ummm, wonder if we could use the same one they were talking about having for the Emmy's?"

These Congress folks are pitiful - they are a bunch of moral eunuchs and spineless cowards. The only good news is that they are not meeting and can do no harm. The horrible part is the message these cowards send to our enemies.

Question: When anthrax spores are found in a particular location, how do they sanitize that location?

Now, that the anthrax scare has subsided, we can, once again, subject our lives, liberty, and property to the whims of Congress.

They remove all the Congressmen. Our lives, liberty, and property were never safer than when anthrax was found on the Hill.

Apparently, the Capitol was reinfected with 535 tax-thrax spores today.

It was the sensible thing to do. When you have been compromised, the area has to be swept, badges re-issued, procedures updated, and risk factors weighed!

Osama is a lot smarter than Daschle, he hides. When one shouts from fox hole at an enemy shooting standing up, who has the advantage?

Once again the House has shown it's moral superiority over a corrupt spin drived Senate .

You mean 435, the stupid 100 Senators didn't know enough to get out of the rain. Thank heaven for the House, since 94 they held the line while the Senate was swallowed up by all the corruption.
