A congressional expert on terrorism said there are thousands of well-trained Mideastern terrorists in the United States who are capable of "spectacular" acts of violence.

Two terrorism experts said they have never seen such estimates from an official government source; others declined to comment.

Crazy isn't it? The real war is here with all the terrorists running around, even crossing our borders at will. Our security starts here, but we have sent all our troops over there.

The situation is clear. For reasons unfathomable to me (although I am sure they involve money) our government is going to sacrifice many more thousands of us before it gains the courage to clamp down on the stinking terrs in our midst.

I wouldn't want to bet against you on that. Although money may be a factor in our government's inability to halt the waves of Middle Eastern immigration I think political correctness is the greater reason. Our bureaucrats are more afraid of offending Muslims than they are about the safety and security of its citizens. Only when the sheeple rise up and demand that we start sending these people home and make it an election issue will the politicos do anything about it. Reality on this front is sad.

If I don't see prominent Arab-Americans wearing red white and blue ties and knocking folks out of the way to get in front of a camera to denounce Islamists and urge their brethren to start turning in these scum terrs ..... Guess I read it a bit differently, it feels like, sounds like, looks like they are poking around here and there--probing and watching how we respond so they can better calibrate and plan the wider distribution of the more deadly stuff.

This effort gets people worried good. Aggitates a bit so as to give some fairly clear indications about how and where responses are going to be to such things--WITHOUT raising alarm, angering ENOUGH to make further efforts REALLY difficult.

It's hard to gauge from across the big pond, but from this vantage point with CNN, FR, various other web news sources, various news magazines etc. . . it LOOKS LIKE, FEELS LIKE the U.S. isn't really waking up near as much as NYC WTC ought to have awakened people.

Some 24 hour prayer efforts have been started--and are hopefully presisting. FR is well alerted. . . some conservative people with brains [vs others without] all seems moderately or better alerted to the majors issues of life and survival facing the U.S. of A.

But on the whole, it seems like Yawn and fun as usual has set in alarmingly much and alarmingly fast.

I'm much concerned that from God's viewpoint, He's going to have to pull back His protection on our land yet orders of magnitude more before the masses REALLY "Get it!"

Please SHOW me I'm wrong. PLEASE. I'd sure hate to be right on this.

If this is true, and I suspect that there is some truth , then the people of the "Homeland", will vocally and emphatically demand that these Terrorists and their support groups be punished, executed and or deported immediatetly.

This will begin with finding those who commit acts of terrrorism, and identifying those support people. As each new act of terrorism occurs the calls will be loud and strong that "something" be done.

At that time, I'm sure if you took a camera on the street and asked someone what should be done, that person will tell you.

Our elected officials will have to respond, or they will be replaced by someone who will respond.

It will not be a fun time.

The plan was to assassinate the president, his family and every member of congress. The jet liners to do so crashed or did not get off the ground. I think congress and the president got the message. The president and vice president are still being seperated far enough that if a suit case nuke went off, it wouldn't get both of them. It is time to get real serious. We have aliens living amongst us that want to kill as many of us as possible.

, I wouldn't infer that hijacking 4 airplanes was some small operation. It was a huge undertaking that required one heck of a lot of support.

You are dead wrong. The hijacking of the four planes was a relatively simple operation. The idea that it was a massive and complicated plot is misleading. Judging by her ability to squeeze a two week three city vacaion into just six days, I'd say that my wife could have planned the whole operation in three days flat. You had 30 motivated fanatics with funding and for all practical purposed, as much time as they needed. All they had to do was keep a low profile and execute the plan step by step. It wasn't rocket science.
