I was born and raised in Texas, I know how the good ol' boy network works firsthand.

Don't try to weasle out by asking me or summer to define "our policies." You were the one who made the assertion in the first place that policy was being based on fear and anger.

What?? I was talking about hypothetically beginning a policy of internment camps to imprison American citizens, or another similar policy. It's unfair to ask you to define your position?

No, you're wrong, Ridge Pike runs between Roxborough and Norristown. It parallels the expressway.

There was an APB out on a "Moving Systems Incorporated" van reported throughout the evening of the 11th on Boston television.

I recall that now. Do you know of a source to link?

No, you're wrong, Ridge Pike runs between Roxborough and Norristown. It parallels the expressway...make me a liar for a few lousy miles (which a van could cover in five minutes). It is north of center city/university city where I 've spent my Philadelphia time, and my map shows it running northwest from where Ridge Ave crosses into Montgomery County, about fifteen miles from Trenton. My point was that if the stories of these two don't check out, it could be another indications of an active, potentially lethal terrorist cell operating out of the Trenton/North Philadelphia area...who knows, they might have been apprehended on their way to pick up that abandoned suitcase which police say was discovered in the Greyhound Terminal in downtown Philly this morning - containing C-4 plastique explosives...

In this threat environment we are poisoned and tied down by our very own bill of rights.

Sadly, it looks that way. Can't say there wasn't a warning, below is an excerpt from 1998 Congressional Hearings on Intellegence and Security, submitted by OMAR ASHMAWY

the link is here

4) Infiltration of extremism into the West

The liberal policies of the West, primarily France, Germany, England and the United States, allowed the extremists from the Middle East to establish bases of operations in their countries. The extremists infiltrated these countries through immigration or political asylum. They have taken advantage of the democratic and liberal atmosphere to organize and form a nucleus of leadership. From these new bases, they attempt to achieve their political agendas in their home countries. The easily obtained western technology and free open market offers them a better and more effective way to direct and finance their followers. The tolerant policies of the West facilitate the creation of safe havens for their supporters and fugitives. Utilizing all the current technology available in communications has helped the extremists to have strong, successful, effective and influential underground activities. The quick and immediate transferal of monies has also enhanced the power of the extremists, giving them the opportunity to expand by financing and supporting new members into the inner circle and to hijack established Islamic institutions, or establish new ones. The protection the extremists receive in the Western countries under the auspices of freedom of speech and association has unfortunately made them powerful. In addition, their activities are not necessarily illegal since their conspiracies are not toward the host country, but towards the countries of their birth.

The point is, Ridge Pike runs almost straigt into the West River Drive, not North Phila. Trenton is not close. This area is at least a half hour drive from Phila, though not far in miles, maybe only 15 miles, but it is out of the way. It is right at the end of the Blue Route, though. I would bet that these guys took to Blue Route from the Walt Whitman Bridge.

Did you see the article about the explosives that were found in the bus terminal in Phila.? I wouldn't be surprised if they were left by the same guys, who then headed out either the Blue Route or the expressway to dump the rest if their belongings.

Yes. It's hard to believe it's a coincidence.

You asserted (#60):
I just don't think that we should make policy based on fear and anger.

I asked in response (#65):

Who said we're basing policy on fear and anger?

You've never answered the question, but have instead dodged all around the place, apparently to avoid ansering the question or admitting that your hasty assertion put word's in to summer's mouth.

So...what's the answer? Who said we're basing policy on fear and anger (rather than on prudence and common sense)?

Give a straight answer to a straight question, and I'll be glad to reply to yours.

It's unfair to ask you to define your position?

Does your concern extend to Italian-Americans who are profiled regularly and subjected to Rico laws? Find an Italian social club in a city and there will be a video camera across the street.

I suggest that we investigate the possibility of a criminal conspiracy; subject the Muslim-American community to tax investigations, videotaping, law enforcement tails, trials in which admitted multiple killers are the government's chief witnesses etc. What's good for the goose...

Yeah, I don't have a problem with that.
