No, round up these people: the ones who are here illegally on expired visas. Send them back to their own countries.

Well...along with too many college professors, much of the media, People for the Amerikan Way, the ACLU, Americans United for Separation of Church & State, Jesse Jackasson, Greenpeace, ELF & ALF, and other liberal types, I thought illegals were among the usual suspects.

You have to do this in phases. Phase one. Adopt the China policy to stem the flow into the country from the 20 nations listed by China. Include Israel. I love the concept of a homeland for the Jews but....this is America, my home. The Israelis have to be treated along with the rest to maintain fairness to the process. Jerusalem has to be an international city along the lines of the Vatican. Palestine needs to be a state by annexing part of Jordan along with the current real estate that has been granted to them. Until these issues are resolved and as long as the USA and Israel are in a state of war, stop entry into the country.

Phase two. Revoke the visas of persons from the 20 states along sex and age guidelines. If your a male between the age of 16 and 40 your on the list. Don't include Israel in this step unless Israel is found to be directly tied to a terrorist act in the USA.

Phase three. Process naturalized persons of certain national origin and provide them with their own security clearance documents. Use technology to make these documents verifiable. If this sounds like second class citizenship, well in a way it is. If the folks targeted for these security steps do not cooperate, encourage them to emmigrate at once.

This is all untenable under our present Constitution so I guess we are doomed.

Well, I would suggest you read an editorial I will post in a moment, from a very LIBERAL New York newspaper, which feels as I do now: we need to focus on America.

And, if all the Muslims cited in this editorial -- which was citing a recent NY Times story about Muslims -- is true: that they are SO UNHAPPY living in America, then, I suggest we restore their right to happiness by helping them to return to the Mid East ASAP.

Why should we stand by and do nothing if they are all so miserable in America? We should help them leave this country. Let them go to school, and live, and do whatever they want in their own countries.

Hijacking planes, terrorizing American citizens, remaining silent if they know of impending mass murder, and forcing Americans to jump to their deaths out of skyscrapers, are not, in my very humble opinion, very valid reasons for them to remain here.

Of course, you may feel differently. Maybe they should be allowed to stay in this country and engage in such behavior -- if that is their version of the pursuit of "life, liberty and happiness." However, it's not my version.

I just don't think that we should make policy based on fear and anger.

Who said we're basing policy on fear and anger? (Or is that just your own personal interpretation?) I submit that the policy just might be based on prudence and common sense.

"my very liberal friends in NY DO want camps, and a LOT more protection, right now. Go talk to them and tell them not to worry the next time they see people committing suicide from a skyscraper. Oh, and good luck getting through to them. They're a little upset right now. I guess you can't understand why." (post 59)

Check out the Carlyle link above- that is just the tip of the ice berg. Have you heard of Harken Energy? Spectrum 7? Those were both Bush Jr.s oil companies. Do a Google search for: harken energy Bush bin laden and see how many links it pulls up.

Bank Commerce Credit International, BCCI is a well known corrupt middle eastern bank .The connection between bin Laden and BCCI is well documented as is the connection between BCCI and the Bush's. Bush Sr. was director of the CIA, we were funding the Mujadin, Bush Jr.s company needed funding and wanted to explore in the most oil rich country in the world. Daddy pulled some strings and made a few promises... who knows. But I think it needs to be exposed and looked into.

Jerusalem has to be an international city along the lines of the Vatican. Palestine needs to be a state by annexing part of Jordan...

Questions: (1) Why does Jerusalem have to be an "international city"? Would that be even against Israel's will? (2) Why does Palestine need to be a state, carved out of Jordan, and would Jordan have any say in the matter?

Okay, I'll give you that one, my mistake, but the rest of it still stands.

You simply reposted summer's words, scrambled_t, instead of explaining your own words ("basing policy on fear and anger").

Summer said that his/her friends are "difficult to get through to" and "upset." Of course they're upset - that's totally understandable and a valid reaction. But I think it's also the same reaction that put Japanese into internment camps 50 years ago. I need to see more evidence that a majority of LEGAL Muslims are conspiring to commit crimes or are somehow anti-American. Go ahead and deport illegals, I don't have a problem with that.

Although I'm no fan of internment camps, some level of racial profiling may be appropriate at times.

For instance, no one complained of looking for White Males when the KKK was bombing Black churches in the 1960's. There are simply times when one group is comprised of distinct racial groups, and it makes sense to intelligently narrow your focus to those groups for short periods of time.

I agree. I just want to avoid Noonan's type of vague stereotyping, especially when it applies to making policy.

"Elmakias and Katar were eventually detained by INS and transported to a federal facility, said police. Reisler was released."

Wow, a Porsche dealership, a woman whose passport doesn't match her medication - and she claims that she's German.

If this was read from a cheap spy novel, I'd say that she was an agent picking up instructions from a German national working under the cover of the repair department of the car dealership.

Obviously you release the agent to watch her (to hopefully break up the spy ring further up the chain) while detaining the grunts to prevent them from engaging in sabatage or terrorism.

I need to see more evidence

Well, you can wait around for more evidence. What will it take? A nuclear bomb in the city where you live? My friends have seen enough.

Sorry, no sale, Bush went to school with the Saudi princes. Took them home for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

They lived here at the time, so no sale!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know many in Business with both Bush's, they are good folks, so .... Take off your tin foil hat and quit reading that junk! Go for the truth instead, and if you came here just to Bush bash, please do it elsewhere.

Natch, that folks are "upset" and "difficult to get through to." But it's a logical leap to conclude that they are "basing policy on fear and anger."

Look, could both of you define how you would treat legal Muslims, i.e. what policies we're talking about?

Tinfoil? Take off your blinders. Bush bashing is not my intention. But what really takes place at the highest levels of govt. behind closed doors over a cocktail by the fireplace rarely gets discovered, if it does it's spun until something plausable falls out.

Granted, this may have been exagerated but there is the Carlyle connection and all I am saying is that it deserves a closer look.
