I'm not sure I'd go with greedy communists,

Oh, yeah. Greedy is the word. China isn't so much communist anymore. The aim of the dictators and the military is really the same, economic spoils. Their children all come over here to get educated and to make some contacts. Then they return home and have daddy set them up in some lucrative concession, such as, making the bottles for all of the Pepsi sold on the mainland.

Capitalism is emerging quickly. The Chinese have been traders and dealmakers for 4,000 years, unlike the poor Russian peasants who've been serfs for 4,000 years. It's becoming a regular free-for-all in Red China, but without the protections of our rule of law, especially regarding anti-trust, extortion, and kickbacks.

Somewhere along the way people have been somewhat confused as to what communism, socialism, democracy, republics and capitalism are. If the capitalism that flourishes in the United States today can do so despite the rampant socialism that has basicly taken over here, then it can also flourish in China under communism.

China is still a centrally controlled government that has no intentions of relinquishing any of it's power. Those that ignore this do so at their own peril.
