"Communist? Oh they aren't Communist anymore. They're capitalists." And perhaps we could say that the 'Glo-Baloney Predatory Capitalists' are no longer HONEST Capitalists, but indeed just greedy Communists! Hmmmm??

Hell, why not call 'em Democrats? They sure act like them...
To: Snow Bunny
I wonder if that is the problem with the Democrats? They don't know that they are promoting communism?

I'm not sure I'd go with greedy communists, although I would not be adverse to that label if it fit. I just think they're greedy perverse capitalists. When you get a corporation like Loral selling secrets that would help China target our nation with nukes, it's not communist, but it's about as perverse a version of capitalism as there could be.

This is a great one. He's trying to shut up the Taiwan equivalent of Secretary of Commerce and keep him from answering questions to reporters -- all while Colin Powell and the Russian Secretary of State are right there watching. And saying nothing. Brave lads they are.

His point is actually a heavy-handed one: Taipei will not be allowed to appear as a separate political entity. He's saying there is only one China, so there's no need to qualify the mainland as "Communist China". They ain't gonna cotton to no uppity Taiwan tryin' to make like they's somehow soveriegn.

'communist china has become history'! and they STILL can't drive!!!

Aren't these the same Communists who threatened to Nuke Los Angeles a year ago? Or are we in an alternate Universe where Commies no longer exist? I prefer the latter and don't respond well to threats. When the crums in the Party step down and hold an election, then I'll celebrate; until then, this is propaganda.

China has lower business and personal income tax rates than the U.S. or Europe. If money is everything then this is certainly an interesting statistic. I agree that the income tax is slavery. But it is slavery at 1% as surely as it is at 37%.
The one child policy, the making of families pay for the single bullet for the execution and theft of the organs after that execution is a bit over the top.
I'll go out on a limb and say that they're still communists.

Over 1 million Taiwanese have already moved to mainland China in the past 18 months. Every Taiwanese now knows these days that China is where the economic activity is and will be for the next few decades. Taiwanese are moving in droves while their own economy tanks. Thanks for the updat, Dung.
