The first attacks were with a refined strain, those were by professional lefties. The later attacks were from less professional lefties left out of the loop who were unknowingly defeating the purpose by responding tit for tat to what they saw as an attack on their heros.
(Most likely it's muslim terrorists, I'm just playing these scenerios out)
