The Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan blasted the current administration for bombing the Taliban government last night. "One one hand, we send them bombs, on the other hand, a few loaves of bread, and we want praise for the bread...... Well, who's sending the bombs in the first place?"
This quote was the best recollection I have of what he said. The radio report I heard said that he was quite critical of the administration for bombing the Taliban.
If so, then he is a domestic enemy. He should be shunned at the very least, and deported at the worst. The Taliban is an outlaw, terrorist government, and he is lending aid and comfort to our declared enemy.
This is the single most influential leader of Islam in America, and he is cozying up to the Taliban. Anyone want to tell me how Islam is such a peaceful religion any more???
Hell, they already have. Don't you know we deserve it because of how we dealt with the Muslim world/Israel/the black man/Pakistan/Iraq/anybody's pet agenda that got dissed...
Where was that prof-- NM?-- who said that anybody who could bomb the WTCs would get his vote... Just articulating what his "class" of intelligencia is too b@ll-less to say what with all these unwashed unenlightened redneck patriots running around with baseball bats and sh!t... Arrogant stupidity should hurt.
WHAM!!!
Hugh, now the crowd you mentioned in the article "SPET 29", is coming out.
Could you posibly have been listening to excerpts from Farrakhan's 2 1/2 hour speech last night? He was speaking in Chicago.
Farrakhan: U.S. May Be Lying About bin Laden
Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan has urged his followers not to believe U.S. claims that Osama bin Laden was behind the Sept. 11 attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon until government officials produce proof.
"They have lied before, and there's no guarantee they are not lying now," Farrakhan warned the crowd during a speech at Chicago's Christ Universal Temple.
"There's nothing wrong with asking the American government to show us the proof" that bin Laden is guilty, he advised.
Addressing his remarks to President Bush directly, Farrakhan exhorted, "Don't hide behind national security. The nation would be more secure if you give the American people a reason to fight."
The Nation of Islam leader had previously condemned the terrorist attacks as "vicious and atrocious."
But on Tuesday he said that the U.S. needed to re-evaluate its foreign policy.
"Is there a better way to defeat terrorism?" he wondered aloud. "Must hundreds of thousands of innocent lives be lost and the cause of terrorism never be addressed?"
Farrakhan's remarks were first reported by the Chicago Tribune.
