The spokesman said he could not provide a copy of any of the letters. Kind of hard to show hard copies of something imaginary isn't it. Why would anyone take the word of a baby killer about anything? these baby killers are so adept at lying, that like their president Bill Clinton, they seem incapable of telling the truth.

that 90 of its clinics and offices in at least 13 states had received envelopes containing threatening letters and an unidentified powdery substance.

But,

...could not provide a copy of any of the letters.

Right

Perhaps the reason they cannot provide a copy of any of the letters was because the FBI was performing tests on them, as stated in the article?

We are trying to track down terrorists who killed thousands and Planned Parenthood is playing PR games.

How do you KNOW this is "imaginary"? I can think of lots of reasons why they wouldn't have the letters. For example, the FBI has them.

This is entirely plausible. Terrorists--including this execrable "Army of God," akin to the Taliban in many ways--work exactly this way. Probably the powder is nothing, but it seems perfectly reasonable that fanatics jerk-offs like the "Army of God" would do something like this.

Just because they're "your fanatics" doesn't mean they're "okay."

Why make statement like that if you couldn't back it up. If you thought letters were covered in anthrax, would you wave them around in front of the press. I don't find it too hard to believe that some wackos on both the left and right are taking advantage of the current hysteria, to the detriment of their respective causes.

I hate to burst your bubble, but one of the offices in my town was hit, and it is only a few doors down from mine. Our mailman (who is also a patient of mine) is the one who delivered the letter. The powder probably isn't anthrax, but that doesn't make it any less serious.

For a hoax, these people are pretty shook up.

That means at least 90 PP people, and 90 post offices handled these letters. If they are suspected of being tainted with anthrax, then all persons in contact with these letters should be getting tested. Why is that fact left out of this article? Probably because it is pure BS.

Would the "Army of God" really put their name on the letters. This is sounding more and more like the PP people themselves did this. Very much like Hillary trying to use a national tragedy to make herself a victim of the VRWC.

Well, I frankly don't know what Planned Parenthood is worried about. It seems to me that if it were anthrax, they'd take the opportunity to see if it could be used as an effective abortifacient. Hmmm, anthrax abortions? It's gold, Gloria, run with it!

Oh and my thoughts go out to the people at Planned Parenthood who must be extremely upset that the baby in New York who contracted anthrax looks like he's going to make it. It must have been a terrible disappointment.

The PeePees rely to a large extent on donations. There was an article in a local paper yesterday which said that charities unconnected to the recent collection campaigns have seen a dramatic drop in donations since 9/11. What to do? What to do?

considering the recipients of all these "alleged" anthrax letters, it looks like "crazy right-wing extremists" are being set up as the perps.

As much as I detest Planned Barrenhood and their murderous ways, this is not a hoax.

First, it would too easy for someone to verify with the FBI that there have been over 90 (the latest number I heard was 110) reports filed.

Second, it is a big time felony to lie to the FBI. PP and the people employed at PP abortion mills are evil, but they're not THAT stupid.

And people have the right to know about it

Yep, people have a right to know if going into their facility will be harmful to them or to others. Unfortunately, they try to cover most of the harm up.

If they're lying (likely) they're really more stupid than I thought. Who's going to want to go to a planned parenthood clinic if they suspect there's been anthrax powder floating around there? Duh. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot.

I just knew they were lying in their teeth. If they cannot produce one letter, then they should be charged with terrorism themselves for adding to the hysteria and worry about attacks. Reverse terrorism is just as bad, they should be hung out to dry for this publicity stunt.

In a nearby university town the Planned Parenthood office was fire bombed. It did seem a little suspicious at the time. The back office had been recently cleaned. The only files still in the room were old files waiting to be properly discarded. The active files were in a fire resistant file in the front office. Our local liberal newspaper was filled with the incident for days. About a year later investigators declared that the fire was started by a now ex-employee. This information was printed in a two inch article on the same page as the legal notices. My first responce to hearing that Planned Parenthood had received suspicious mail to to assume that the envelopes had been created by Planned Parenthood office staff.

Planned Parenthood was founded on the principle of eugenics, weeding out "inferior" people to "improve" teh human race. Its founder, Margaret Sanger, was a huge believer in eugenics and a friend of Hitler. They have never repudiated Sanger. Apparently, they still believe in eugenics.

Another Nazi doctrine was the Big Lie; the notion that if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes true. Does PP believe in that too? Well, they make big money doing abortions and they insist that they do not make money. About 10 years ago, the magazine New Dimensions, to which I am proud to have been a contributor, did a whole section on this and proved that Planned Parenthood does indeed make big money, so big that this is itself a motivation. If they lie about that, what else do they lie about?

Planned Parenthood is well-known for supporting the use of state power to shut down the free speech rights of pro-lifers through measures like the very unconcstitutional "Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances" or FACE Act, in addition to trying to use the RICO statutes against Operation Rescue. They clearly do not believe in freedom.

Now, it is a matter of record that the people who have shot abortionists to death almost universally have no prior involvement in any rpo-llife activity, and that the abortion advocates and the media know this. Yet they deliberately portray this as typical of the whole pro-life movement.

This is a long way of saying that the background of Planned Parenthood leads me to suspect that they may well have sent anthrax or something they could pass off as anthrax to themselves to try to damage the pro-life movement. They must be exposed.

In a statement, Planned Parenthood President Gloria Feldt said: ``It is perverse that these individuals here at home, who are themselves terrorists by virtue of their actions, would seek to capitalize on the events of the last days and weeks to further their own extremist agenda.

Perhaps that extremist group is Planned Parenthood, and perhaps Planned Parenthood is trying to capitalize on this by having it's opponents arrested.

I wouldn't put such a Stalinistic tactic past these people.

A month has now passed since the September 11 attacks and many pro-life issues are surfacing once again in Congress.

In the coming days, Congress must pass the appropriations bills to fund the federal government. Many of these bills include amendments and language that impact the pro-life debate.

****ACTION NEEDED****
The Petition For Life wants to rally 200,000 pro-life citizens for these final legislative issues for this year. That means we need your help to rally 22,000 citizens to sign the petition in the next 14 days.

Please forward this alert to your friends and urge them to sign:

Petition for the Unborn

****KEY PRO-LIFE ISSUES RIGHT NOW****
#1---FUNDING FOR STEM CELL RESEARCH
Sen. Arlen Specter is promoting a bill in the Senate that could expand federal funding for stem cell research beyond President Bush's state parameters. Call the Capitol Hill switchboard (202-224-3121) and ask your senators to oppose the Specter stem cell research bill.

#2---ABSTINENCE EDUCATION
The amount of abstinence funding in the Labor-HHS appropriations bill is now under debate; Rep. Istook seeks to expand abstinence funding by $33 million.

#3--- THE "MORNING-AFTER" ABORTION PILL
It's shocking but true; many school districts distribute the "morning-after" abortion pill to students. The Hart amendment would prohibit federal funding to any school that distributes the morning-after pill.

If you haven't already done so, please add your signature to the petition for the unborn (and ask others to do likewise). These little ones need our voice to speak out for them.
God Bless you!

Thank you for helping to give the unborn a voice on these crucial issues!

I need to apologize to Ms. Feldt, to Planned Parenthood, and to their employees.

I did a little research. The reason Planned Parenthood, its clinics, and the other clinics were able to respond so swiftly is because they have been the victims of these kind of terrorists attacks for years.

Most clinics probably did stay open. The ones that received no direct threat. The rest, I'm sure, did everything necessary to safeguard the health of their employees and patients.

TomG, I apologize for "baiting" you.
