Yes. I know that many Christians think that this is sufficient, but I don't.
There is a wonderful book called "The Gospel of Jesus" by someone whose last name is MacArthur (I think).
Although I'm not sure if he believes that baptism has to be done, the views in the bible articulated by him very closely parallel my own view.
Then I see nothing wrong with you following your conviction, God knows your heart, and if things aren't legalistically in the proper order I'm sure God may get a chuckle out of the babes in Christ as they crawl and find their feet and begin to walk, as long as you are true to your self.
Since you are so interested in what the 10 commandments are lets look at #2.
Ex. 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
God is not just talking about statues, according to Romans 1:21-25 He is also talking about the imagination of our hearts with which we make the gods we want.
People in our world have invented a lot of different gods. Some have a god that is a good god, He is so loving , kind and wonderful he justs lets anyone and everyone do and believe whatever they want. So you can go ahead and live and believe however you want and when you die and stand before God, He is going to say Forget it comeone on in.
You see, what you have done is made God in your own image. You have made and idol of you own. But God condemns this in the 2nd commandment.
