New Yorkers and NYC residents need to change the laws so law abiding citizens can possess firearms. When I was in the Army my DI (drill instructor) used to say - "fear keeps a man alive, it also sharpens his senses". I think New Yorkers (especially the suburban moderates) are finally coming to their senses, unfortunately it took 6000 killed and terror to do it.

Yes your right they should of thought of this long before and worked for less laws. When you really need self protection it is to law to run to the store. It isn't like buying a loaf of bread any more. Maybe there well be enough pressure and they well get some of the laws changed we can only hope.

I see those liberal pinheads ANTI-GUNS group have had a change of heart!

The pistol permit courses at the gun clubs here are filling faster than we can schedule them. All the ladies at our party this Sat. night were admiring my (unloaded) .38, several of them formerly anti-handgun. The worm is turning.

The worm is turningAbout dam' time! So sensible people, when feeling threatened, arm themselves? Makes perfect sense to me, and gives lie to the anti's propaganda war.
And I hope the voters will remember who helped chip away our Second Amendment rights, and toss the SOB's next election....

Now, if I could only convince my wife I don't yet have enough guns...
[Fat chance of that; she keeps a better inventory in her head than I have on paper...]

customers are also stocking up on ammunition and not the solid-projectile practice rounds but people-stopping, hollow-point bullets. So nice to know that solid-projectile practice rounds aren't harmful to people. Is HCI aware of this developement?
"People want to protect their families," Leung said. "This is not to say people don't have faith in the police. They just want to make sure they can take care of their families."
This IS to say that people don't have faith in the police.
Some people actually did wake up to the wake-up call. Sheeple hit the snooze button.

Compare what's going on in Red Nation - at least outside its bigger urban areas.
Here in the Burlington, North Carolina area, my favorite shop had no increase in gun or ammo sales three days after 9/11.
Truth be known, so few people down here don't have guns that first-time panic buying is implausible for most down here.
Scandals of antigun politicians - from Kalifornia to New York City!

Lawyer John Chambers, a former prosecutor helps clients negotiate the city's gun licensing process.... Many are discouraged when they learn about the licensing process. "You can't even fire a gun here without a license," Spallone said.
That's right, make the damned process so complicated that you need an atty. to permit you to buy something the legal profession and the "Gun Control Freaks" were trying to take away. Although I agree some "panic" buying probably is taking place, the process should not be complicated enough that attys.are necessary to make a legal purchase to defend yourself. Excuse me mister mugger, would you please hold me up in 7 months after I can get a Permit to defend myself?

Now, if I could only convince my wife I don't yet have enough guns... So many to choose from, everyone should have one of each.

People who don't own firearms are like people who don't have fire extinguishers and first aid kits: unprepared!

The funny thing is is that even our local WalMart is selling them at such a record pace they are expanding their gun section! Guess K-Mart should have not listened to the fat anti-gun bimbo eh.
