New Yorkers and NYC residents need to change the laws so law abiding citizens can possess firearms. When I was in the Army my DI (drill instructor) used to say - "fear keeps a man alive, it also sharpens his senses". I think New Yorkers (especially the suburban moderates) are finally coming to their senses, unfortunately it took 6000 killed and terror to do it.

I see those liberal pinheads ANTI-GUNS group have had a change of heart!

The pistol permit courses at the gun clubs here are filling faster than we can schedule them. All the ladies at our party this Sat. night were admiring my (unloaded) .38, several of them formerly anti-handgun. The worm is turning.

customers are also stocking up on ammunition and not the solid-projectile practice rounds but people-stopping, hollow-point bullets. So nice to know that solid-projectile practice rounds aren't harmful to people. Is HCI aware of this developement?
"People want to protect their families," Leung said. "This is not to say people don't have faith in the police. They just want to make sure they can take care of their families."
This IS to say that people don't have faith in the police.
Some people actually did wake up to the wake-up call. Sheeple hit the snooze button.

Compare what's going on in Red Nation - at least outside its bigger urban areas.
Here in the Burlington, North Carolina area, my favorite shop had no increase in gun or ammo sales three days after 9/11.
Truth be known, so few people down here don't have guns that first-time panic buying is implausible for most down here.
Scandals of antigun politicians - from Kalifornia to New York City!

Lawyer John Chambers, a former prosecutor helps clients negotiate the city's gun licensing process.... Many are discouraged when they learn about the licensing process. "You can't even fire a gun here without a license," Spallone said.
That's right, make the damned process so complicated that you need an atty. to permit you to buy something the legal profession and the "Gun Control Freaks" were trying to take away. Although I agree some "panic" buying probably is taking place, the process should not be complicated enough that attys.are necessary to make a legal purchase to defend yourself. Excuse me mister mugger, would you please hold me up in 7 months after I can get a Permit to defend myself?

People who don't own firearms are like people who don't have fire extinguishers and first aid kits: unprepared!

The funny thing is is that even our local WalMart is selling them at such a record pace they are expanding their gun section! Guess K-Mart should have not listened to the fat anti-gun bimbo eh.

We should pass a law that any 'New' gun buyer also would have to join the NRA.
That way the NRA gets more funding, this is just the way liberals would take advantage of the situation.
We may not be able to convert them into true believers, but at least we would have the mandated funding to run the program.

You can buy handguns in the "$100 to $200 dollar range"??? They sure aren't SIGS.

I guess guns aren't so bad after all.

I just love it. I can see Sarah, Chucky, Feinstein-Boxer (the Wikced Witches of the West), Hilldebeast, Rosie, and the entire membership of the Screen Actors' Guild writhing in pain. My only regret is that it took what it did to wake folks up.

"It could be a national trend."
It's been a national trend. That's why gun friendly states are safer.
"customers are snatching up handguns in the $100-$200 range"
$100-200? Pellet guns?
"People want to protect their families," Leung said. "This is not to say people don't have faith in the police."
They don't have faith in the police.
"customers are snatching up 9-mm. and .45-caliber pistols. "They aren't interested in carrying a gun for personal protection,"
Oh, yeah, gee, they're not interested in personal protection. They're taking that .45 to go duck hunting.
It will be interesting to see if the gunlaws do change. More importantly I hope that the saner members of our U.S. Supreme Court are reading these articles and seeing that the 2nd Amendment must survive.

If all of them were as ugly as Hillary or Reno they would not need a gun.

New York City's gun permit process is particularly arduousMore like "impossible." You cannot get one unless you have a job that requires you to carry large sums of money or valuables on a regular basis, are an ex-cop, or have someone in the mayor's office that REALLY likes you.

ARE WE
SURE WE WANT THE RESIDENTS OF NEW YORK TO HAVE FIREARMS?
THEY DID, IF YOU'LL RECALL, ELECT THIS -- ER -- WOMAN TO THE SENATE:
Hillary seen here employing the Lewinsky Method while scarfing a street weenie at a political function. Bill has requested that she NOT use this technique when he is in the area lest he have to quickly repair to the nearest lavatory to avoid embarrassing himself (like THAT is a problem for Mr. Humiliation!).

I have been planning to pick up an AR-15 for a while now; got serious around the time of the Gore assault, but lost urgency when he was vanquished. Now is a good time to make those purchases you have been putting off to help the economy - buy a gun today.
Went to the local gun shop; no AR's available. Still waiting.
Guess I could pick one up at a gun show, but I like to get the big ticket items from the local dealers - keep those boys in business.
