I believe you are wrong and you are right.

A radiological bomb which would produce mega casualties is a tall order indeed.

But a "dirty nuke" can make a critical area a "no go zone" for years or forever.

Imagine if the WTC jets had been carrying 25 pounds of U-238 or ten pounds of plutonium: even without a chain fission reaction, the fire, explosions and ash cloud would have contaminated much of Manhatten and put it off limits for most uses.

I don't think our government is thinking as conventionally as most suspect. I'm certain that they are considering all the possibilities. I'm also certain that we aren't alone. I'm not talking about the middle east alliances; those are temporary and everybody knows it. I mean, England, Germany, France, Italy, even Russia. Every one of these countries has been affected by this underworld and all are most likely eager to eradicate the problem. I know, Russia will be the hardest to pull in, but that country has seen enough from these fanatics as well.
