Making changes to the Self-Search function, and in particular, how the database is organized in relation to Self-Search.
Self-Searches should now be lightning quick and should span many months. The current index holds about 6 months of data (all I have available.)

The big secret is, comma still works. However, if any Freeper in the to list uses a comma in their name, you'll get an error, or worse, will address your post to the wrong freeper. You can still use the comma if you omit the comma in the user's name.

I've formatted several of the state lists and just copied them into the reply to:
Once I get them all done, I'll put them on the ping list page so that if anyone want to ping everyone from their state, it will be easy.

This won't affect the Bump-to-the-Top Effect that much. Since bump-lists are usually posts in rapid succession, they tend to only monopolize the Latest Posts page for a minute, and then drop off unless the thread is periodically bumped.
This just allows for less clutter. Periodic and strategic bumping will still allow for one to keep a thread bumped to the top.
I think, anyway. Here's to hoping someone backs me up on this.

Yes, that ability is coming in the new mail system. I haven't yet decided how far I'm going to take the new mail system, but I have at least one idea that I think everybody will really like... Should be coming along pretty soon.
