Thanks-- I mentioned this to Mudboy Slim on another post:

Man, if only the web had been as big in 1992 as it is now, we could have nipped the clinton Horror Show in the bud!

Reckon I need to send some "mass BCC emails" of links to this & other stories here to more newspapers today.....

Do you really think that could have been done in 1992? I wish I were that optimistic about the American people, backhoe. I think (regardless of the use of the internet) it would have taken something more like the Foxnews network to get the attention of the average American at that time. Remember, most folks were (and still are, I'm afraid) in the stage of wanting things fed to them through their eyes.

Beyond that, you have to remember that R's defeated themselves as many conservatives chose to vote for the little general and handed the election to Clinton. I think (had the internet be as popular as today) Ross would have received even more votes. There are just so many folks on the net who are easily drawn away by those types who can't win. They forget that the goal of politics is to defeat the opponent with your guy.

I certainly see, and to an extent, agree with your points.

I do think that if the 'net- and talk radio- had been as big then as it is now, the clinton crew would not have gotten out of the gate, let alone won.

Their rot, corruption, and crime were well known to most reporters of that era- they just did not think us rubes worthy ( not sophisticated, like they are ) of being told about it.

When I got on the 'net almost 2 years ago, 42% of Americans got their news from "alternative" sources.... a few months ago, that was up to 50%, and more & more are questioning the bias of the press. I still don't think most Americans realize how left-wing the "entertainment" media is, but they will learn, given time.

I was called a traitor 4 times for that post. I couldn't believe FReepers were defending that @#$%, but they did.

I'm not too surprised, but sorry to hear that!

If we don't acknowledge- and correct- the mistakes of the past ( clinton ), we may do it all over again. Possibly with fatal consequences to the nation-- I'm still not convinced we will survive, as a free & sovereign nation, all the damage he & his worshippers did to America.

Bill Clinton is very very sick from what my sources tell me. They were with impeached Bill last month and say he looks like death all over. Red bumps all over his arms. His face is a mess. And his nose! We have all seen those pictures.

Memo to Bill Clinton:

Thanks, you psychopathic rodent, you pitiful lawyer excuse for a humanoid.

I blame you, you despicable disbarred sociopath, your evil wife Hillary, the endlessly vile Janet Reno, and the rest of your DNC vermin for emasculating and corrupting the INS, CIA, Department of Justice, and FBI. You sold all of our nation's nuclear and missle technology to the highest bidder.

Your legacy?

War, economic hardship, death, and the blood of innocents.

The Rats don't do foreign policy, its not on their menu when election time comes around, and the price for electing a Dem is a weakened US global presence.Republicans always have to clean up the big steaming pile the Dems leave on the floor, and then criticized by them for the way they clean it up.To them , weakness is a virtue, and being like Belgium is to be prized.

btw...I have room for you on the talk show next week, promise to give you a wide berth as a trusty moderator...LOL..;-)
