I try to encourage everyone to get informed, get energized, get activated, and above all, speak up about anything that concerns them.

A very underused venue is local talk radio- it's usually very easy to get on; the host is typically the "screener" so when you call it's more like calling someone you sort of know already.
And these shows reach a lot of people!

They may not have the prestige of the bigger names, but I figure if you can sway even one more person, or get them to rethink and issue, you are making progress.

You are so right about that. I hear the same folks calling in to local shows all the time. Seems there are only a handful who are willing to pick up that phone and call.
