I paid for my eighteen year old girlfriend's abortion in 1972 in New York when I was 19. I am now 48 with 4 beautiful sons and became a Christian at age 40 in a "Road to Damascus" experience. Never a day goes by that I do not wonder what that lost child would have looked like, would have done, would have given to this world, would have, would have... I thank God for his forgiveness. Let no one ever tell you that abortion leaves no scars. I killed my eldest son. I have no other way to look at that early abortion. I just thank God that he gave me a Savior and forgiveness and four wonderful sons to nurture, and finally, that that Savior gave me the hope that I may someday meet the son that I lost.

Thank you for sharing your story. The fathers of aborted children are too often ignored and the pain THEY suffer. I pray that somebody will ready your story in time to prevent their doing the same lament. God Bless You!

I did a paper in college on the effects of abortion on the "father"
Men carry a burden after an abortion. It is often as bad as a woman's that has come to an understanding of what she has done.
Thank God that you are forgiven and that sin is washed away by the Blood of the Lamb
"There is now therefore no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus " You will see your child one day..

Thank you for your willingness to share your loss with us. I wish I knew how to be able to tell these college kids to stop and think before they so casually walk into their local Planned Parenthood. Instead I pray there. Sidewalk counselors and leafletting is banned.
