One of these torpedoes will not take out a carrier unless it is a nuke. Six would probably not do it. Our carriers are very well built.

The average navy ship has to be filled 3/4 full of water to actually sink, due to compartmentalization. I'm sure hangar bays mess that up a bit, but all the waterline and below spaces are sealable.
