As with all theories, one looks at the facts and considers them. The facts regarding the tribes in Afghan and Pakistan indicate a possible Israeli connection. It is simply something to look at without emotion, and acknowledge those items which are facts.
I am Christian. My ancestry is German, Scottish, English, Irish, Native American. That encompasses a variety of religions depending upon how far back one goes.

Islam ravaged the middle east and slaughtered millions -- as it does right now. Tell me, in Afghanistan or Pakistan, if someone converts from Islam out of a choice of her/his heart, what happens? He will be executed. Isn't that correct?
What's your opinion of the view that the Kaaba is really a Shiva Lingam expropriated by the Mohammadans as a matter of simple expediency for some physical manifestation of the newly formed religion? Any truth to it?.
I seem to agree that the Gypsies would be most fitting of the lost tribes; however, the tribes would have been split up everywhere, so not to form a rebellion in their new lands.
The tribes ended up worshipping Baal (this was why God drove them out of the Northern Kingdom) with an EAST wind. God rebuked them for worshipping idols made of stone and wood (e.g. Hindus), and they were soothsayers (e.g. Gypsies), none followed Jewish law except the Rechabites.
