Hello,
That morning is as clear to me today as it was on 9/11/01. And it always will be.

That morning is as clear to me today as it was on 9/11/01. And it always will be. Me too. My son-in-law was at the Pentagon that morning. He subsequently spent nearly a year in Iraq.
Too many people have been lulled into a false sense of security because our President and our intelligence community have kept us safe here on our shores for five years. Yet, those monsters are still out there, as evidenced by today's headlines, and they are still determined to slaughter us all.

I stumbled across this thread and it took my breath away. I did not have a computer in '01. I remember that morning like it was yesterday. And that day and the next and the next. My husband had turned the TV on this morning and as I was waking, I was hearing about planes and terrorists. I shot out of bed to race down and turn Fox on. Thank God for all the intelligence services that ended this plot.
I will never forget.
