The article says the residents didn't know where they came from. Obviously they were DUMPED by someone who didn't want them any more. Irresponsible people search out a neighborhood that looks like a lot of sympathetic people live there and they DUMP their unwanted, or unsatisfactory, pets assuming that someone will take them in. I know because I have been that person who takes in the stray. I got a Schnauzer that way one time. And a white fluffy cat.
Both of those pets turned out to have personality disorders and I suffered with them for years. I was sorry when they finally died, but I am more careful now about giving strays a home. Get your animals through a rescue organization so you know what you are getting.

have a dog, puppy still, that is half Shih Tzu and half Lhasa Apso.............I call him a Lotsa Shitzhu........Oh yeah?, I've got a senior dog that's half Maltese and half poodle. He's our Malti-Poo.

Your dogs have a very nice red color, and the Eleanor Roosevelt teeth aren't really all that bad... I've seen worse, somewhere!:)

For a while there was a fad going around where people would breed 2 different ones & call it a "designer breed". There actually was one called a "schnoodle" as well as a "labradoodle" & many others. People were paying over $1000 for them. Unreal.

Um, I hate to tell you but 'your' dogs' photo can be found on the net listed as
buck toothed bird dogs.
I can bring up a photo of Sam, who won the world's ugliest dog contest 3 years in a row, but I didn't own Sam.

LOL remind me to get you a pic of my BIL's pit-lab. He has a very vicious wag, downright destructive, and god help if he decides to slobber...you're at risk of drowning! Fortunately he's built like a barrel with legs...if he were any taller he'd be a real Dogzilla.
