Skyhooks, the author of the lyrics "Horror Show" used in that post are an Australian Punk/glam/whatever band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyhooks
Fairly obscure and did most of their work before 1984, Gadahn would have been 6 at the time. The lead singer died august 29 2001. It would make more sense to me that a poop flinger in a library in Australia on the mslsd boards was just flinging poop about something that made news in Australia but probably didn't warrant any note in the Pakistan. The point I'm getting at...how would this obscure AU group have been brought to Gads attention living in Pakistan since 1998? He was 22/23 at the time.

It's weird. I downloaded a 250MB file last night in 10 minutes. That file is about 3 times bigger, so it should take 3 times longer. Right now, it's going to take 4 hours to download. :-\

40kb/sec upload speed is consistant with a 384k upload rate, which is consistant with a 1.5mbit download rate, i.e. standard cable.
Residential speeds are typically 4/1 download to upload ratio.
I have SDSL, 1mbit up, 1mbit down which means my uploads can potentially hit 128k, but, since it interferes with online games, I cap it at 768k(about 80k/sec uploads)
