Storm Stories comes in first for my favourite program.

Storm Stories does not belong on The Weather Channel. I don't know how many times severe weather came rolling through southeast Texas here, and when I turned to The Weather Channel to find out what was going on, a &%#* Storm Stories segment was on instead. The Weather Channel is losing focus presenting their Storm Stories segments when they do.... if they're so proud of them, why don't they play them in the morning or some other time? Severe weather occurs at any time of the day, and reporting the details of it is their job. I am and will remain very much against The Weather Channel showing Storm Stories... these segments should be on The Learning Channel or The Discovery Channel where they belong.

Regarding the Marny Stanier claim, I always throught she was quite professional and better than most of the meteorologist staff on the channel. I'm unhappy seeing her pushed out. Alexandra Steele, however, they can do without... a little ditzy for my liking. In a former life I worked as a meteorologist so I like facts, charts, maps, and satellite pictures.... but NOT DITZ!

I never worked as a meteorologist, but I agree wholeheartedly with all else you said.

One thing I can say, though, is that Dr. Jon Nese, their on-air Storm Analyst is a great meteorologist and a heck of a nice guy in real life.

I'm with you regarding storm stories. It is the most idiotic thing to do in the evening hours, especially during the spring and summer seasons when all the severe weather outbreaks occur between 3 pm to 10 pm.

How stupid are they anyway. Why show old storm stories when current weather torandos and hurricanes are happening right now!????
