So many good scenes in that movie. The destruction of the car at the gas station, the deer in the car, Tommy playing with the fan in his office. Am sitting here giggling just thinking of it.

I'll buy onto Braveheart & the Patriot. Not the classic chick fare, though.

My list would have to include
Sense and Sensibility
Pride and Prejudice
Now Voyager
Lord of the Rings (all three parts)
The Terminator (much better than Somewhere in Time, similar romantic device, less sappy)

If "The Road Warrior" isn't on that list, I don't wanna hear it.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THELMA AND LOUISE!Hardly feminist heros, they are the stupidest wimmen ever portrayed in a movie.

Hey, I read your profile. It's great to see former liberals see the light. Welcome.
But you must be the only woman who does not like Audrey Hepburn movies!

Remember the scene in "Sleepless in Seattle" which degenerated from a discussion of "An Affair to Remember" into a weepy discussion by the guys about "The Dirty Dozen"? The Bond movies are the "Guy Flicks," but only the ones with the real Bond, Sean Connnery.

Yeah, where's Jane Eyre? (any version-- GC Scott, Dalton or Hurt).
Or Last of the Mohican's? Or My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Or or or Where the Heart Is? Fried Green Tomatoes? Steele Magnolias?
Hrmpt,
not one of those listed is a movie I want to see again (the above I will watch anytime they are on).

What is it with Steel Magnolias. My ex girlfriend dragged me to it. She sobbed uncontrollably while I fell asleep.

You just reminded me of a "Chick Flick" of sorts. "To Wong Foo." But Swayze, Snipes and Leguzamo play the "women." It's a hoot.
