Huh...can't say I like a single one of those "chick flicks." How about "Far & Away?" or "Braveheart?" or "The Patriot?" or "Sound of Music?"

(see, I like variety in my flicks) Blech = "Pretty Woman."

I hated every one of those movies, except All About Eve, which was mildly entertaining.

Well, ok, Brad P. looked pretty good in Thelma and Louise, but 10 minutes of his abs (etc) did not redeem this mess of a film.

I wonder what "chicks" were canvassed for this list?

I've only ever seen one of those movies. Apparently I'm a failed chick or a movie disadvantaged chick or whatever they might call it.

Same here. This chick prefers movies about the Mob and anything with vampires. Civil War movies are cool if they're done right (Gods & Generals, Good. Cold Mountain, Bad).

"Wait! Are these chick flicks for guys or chick flicks for chicks?"

A chick came up with the list. It's your job to set the record straight.

Pretty woman would have been so much better if they had made the following changes:

I know it's not pissant's list. I just said I can't agree with it.

And pissant is the master poster of top 10 lists!

My taste might still not be that good. Last nite was thinking about what my favorite flicks were and The Goonies and Tommy Boy immediately came to mind.

No. I think she is, at best, a second rate actress (I can't believe she won an academy award) and not at all pretty. I think she is a little manish, actually. Talk about living on a name.

If we're talking about ladies from that time period, I'll definitely take Grace Kelly or Ingrid Bergman, although the latter did not age well at all. Grace Kelly--now there was a woman.

tee hee--thought the same thing, what a waste of a great classic. And I don't mean the wrinkly face and equine faces of either of the females leads.

I Like Hepburn in any frame of any movie. But since Sabrina has Bogie too, I can watch it without disclosing my feminine side!!!

I love Tommyboy! My friend and I used to work together and would crack ourselves up by leaving voicemails that were different Tommyboy lines. The most frequent was, "Tommy like wingies!" and "Fat guy in a little coat..."

These are the favorite chick flicks in my household (in no particular order):

An Affair to Remember
Steel Magnolias
The Princess Bride
Gone with the Wind
Grease
Top Gun (I'd argue that the volleyball scene alone should but it in every woman's top ten)

and pretty much any movie that makes you sob uncontrollably

Well, Ms. Spur is oblivious to political considerations when it comes to TV and movies. She never misses West Wing.
