Shielding children.

Well, I doubt if "children's allowances" is going to keep open the restaurants/taverns/bars that keep those places running, do you?

Natural progression of tyranny. He should be tarred and feathered.

Political correctness run amok.

As an adult and a parent it is my responsibility, not the government's, to decide what my child should or shoule not see.

"Smoke Free City" -- fine - then I'm sure they won't mind rebating some property taxes to smokers for the maintenance and upkeep of these city facilities where they will no longer be welcome.

He should be tarred and feathered.

Can't do that - they are concerned about pollution and litter - heating the tar would add pollution and some of the feathers might not stick..............

I've long maintained that the real threat to our liberties comes not from Washington but from petty bureaucrats and tin-pot politicians in our municiplaities. These turds get elected because most responsible, productive people don't want their crappy elected offices, so aging boomer radicals are more than willing to fill the vacancies. I think they get their start in "student body" offices in high school or college and then graduate to condo commandoes or neighborhood civic association storm troopers. Either that or they get their fascist bona-fides in law school....

"I think Ormond Beach should be a no-smoking city. . . ."

I think Ormond Beach should be a no-tobacco-revenue city...

Might want to let the city know just how we feel!!!

Ormond Beach Feedback page

The Mayor himself does not seem to have an email - or at least I couldn't find it in a quick search of the website...

Exactly!

And I'd love to email Eileen and tell her to tell the Mayor to just BAN tobacco in his vacinity. THAT should fix it. LOL!
