Every time I write a check to my town for property taxes and every time I write a check to my state for income taxes I am,in fact,paying for my little piece of public property.
The property belongs to ALL of the taxpayers,not to the state itself.
The state wants to have it both ways on the smoking issue. It wants to regulate both public and private property.
We are long overdue for some civil disobedience here. If it can be done without any penalties in San Francisco re: gay marriages it can be done anyplace and regarding any issue.
