Serving Those Who Served

VA Stars & Stripes Healthcare Network

Mission: VA Stars & Stripes Healthcare Network is part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. There are more than 1.5 million veterans in our service area. This area includes Pennsylvania, Delaware, and several counties in West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, and New York. Last year we served over 265,000 patients.

Health Care Facilities: Our Network includes 10 medical centers located in:

Our goal is to provide care as close to veterans’ homes as possible. We offer services in nearly 40 community-based clinics. Through our "Families Matter" program, we are also committed to involving the family in the veteran's care, whenever appropriate.

Veterans Update News reports immediate, free care available for military personnel who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom or fought in the war against terrorism. This is available for two years. Unlike other veterans, those who saw recent military action do not have to show a service-connection for their health problems or that they have low incomes.
