I'm glad you made it home safely. I've had you on my mind a lot today. I hope you are ok. Is everyone in your home doing alright? Love on DH for me. How are the kids?
To: MistyCA
How are you doing Misty? How is the family? Are you ready for Christmas?
To: Victoria Delsoul
Hi Victoria. Thanks for your post.
To: Valin
" There`s at least one fool in every married couple. " LOL
Thanks for the history everyday.
To: bentfeather
Hi bentfeather. I haven't talked to you in ages. I hope you are well. Are you staying warm?
To: SpookBrat
{{{HUGS}}} I'm so glad to see you Spookie. Today was rough - emotionally. It was shocking to see how my step-dad has deteriorated in health just since Thanksgiving. Tears flowed frequently, but we all tried to put on a good face around Ken. He doesn't know his diagnosis yet because my mom asked the docs to wait until after Christmas so he could have a happy Christmas. But he suspects his time is very short.
We are all OK. Missy gets home from IN tonight. Leaving in about 30 minutes to pick her up at the airport. She wants to move back to Indianapolis and it's breaking my heart. But that's where her boyfriend and HS and college friends are. Matthew is doing very well. He starts college in January to study accounting. He lives in Marietta with some other young men and that is working out very well too.
How are you and your family? Did Ally make her connection in Atlanta OK? I bet the airline took extra special care of her. I know you miss her so much. But I hope you have a good Christmas. How's Tim and Jonah?

(((((Jen)))))) I know it's a hard time for your family. I can't imagine. I'll be praying for EVERYONE, not just you. :) I'm glad your kids are doing so well, but "Sweet Melissa" needs to stay home and be a mama's girl. LOL
Ally did fine. She misses us, but likes being around her grandma. My boys are fine. They are playing computer games and blowing things up as I type. LOL
We'll have a quiet Christmas without Ally. I think our neighbors are coming over to eat and play games. That should be fun. They have triplets, so I'll get a good "baby" fix.
To: SAMWolf
SAM, it's all done but the grocery shopping. I think I have a few gifts left to wrap. Other than that, I'm pretty much prepared. Are you all ready? What did you get your wife for Christmas?
To: Darksheare
"He knocked himself out on a tree." OMGosh, how did he do that? Yikes!
To: ex-snook; Victoria Delsoul
"I hope you have many 'gen X' folks following along." Gen-X checking in, sir!
To: SAMWolf
ACK! That's sick. I guess that's war. :( Thanks for putting up this information. I've never seen this before.
I learn something new everyday, just by being your friend. You were a lucky find.
To: SpookBrat
R&R.
They had him ski-ing somewhere. (Or so I was told. Probably untrue. Probably less embarrassing than what happened. With Gramps, one never knew... he had a habit of trying to laugh everything off.)
To: Darksheare
"They had him ski-ing somewhere." Wow! He's lucky he didn't get killed. I think a lot of people have died from skiing into trees, haven't they? Ouch. What a way to go.
God bless him. Is he still alive? Thank him for us for lying about his age and bravely serving his country.
To: SpookBrat
No, he died recently. He was at home, had some friends over. They were singing. He leaned back on the couch, crossed his arms, smiled, and took a nap but never woke up.
He'd been knocked out by the concussive blast of a grenade. (He's lucky he didn't lose his head.) He was out for TWO weeks, I have been corrected, so they R&R'd him. They had him do other things after knocking himself back out, like drive teh morgue bus. He had one guy, very dead, sit up during transport. He pushed the very dead guy BACK into his bag and told the recipients, "I'm going back to the front. You can keep your R&R, you can keep your meat wagon, the front's safer!"
