Yeah, lol! The quote probably got its first big play, here in America, when Riedesel was trying to explain Burgoyne to his fellow Germans at Saratoga.

Hillary and Bill Clinton
When Bill was jet setting around Europe giving speeches about the "Third Way"
Could we have guessed that this was code-speak for THIRD TERM???
Or was it just a bow of respect to Hitler's Third Reich?
Maybe...it was a little of both...

"Custer had it coming"... That genocidal maniac, who was working for Sherman tried genocide against my Southern, and my Native American ancestors. If that genocidal maniac had been killed by JEB Stewart, or Wade Hampton, it would have saved the united States from it's darkest period of opprssive history. The Cherokee and the Choctaw fought for the Confederacy, against the Union's emperialistic designs on the Midwest.
Lincoln and Co. were imperialists, bent upon destroying Native Americans and Southrons.
Had the South been victorious, slavery would have ended in the same time-frame as Brazil, (peacefully), and the Indian Tribes would have a seperate nation in the mid-West.
The North-eastern, liberal yankees, like Sherman, insisted that, "the only good Indian is a dead Indian". In contrast, Gen. Stande Waite, a Cherokee Chief, was the last Confederate general to surrender.
Southrons and Native -Americans knew that we were fighting for our independence and freedom. I am proud that a Cherokee brother was the last to lay down his musket. As a matter of interest, the flag of the "Cherokee Braves" was never surrendered.
We never smoked the "peace pipe" with Mr. Lincoln, or Mr Grant. Some of us still remember why we fought.
