Gosh, I am sorry about your wife's friend's son. Prayers will be said, Sam.

Thumbs down on this article. The author takes a glib attitude towards a real problem. Many Gulf War vets are ill. It's not psychosomatic, these vets are experiencing medical problems that adversely effect their quality of life. Hopefully they'll get the treatment they need.

I agree with you that they should get whatever treatment they need. Vets should all have the highest level of medical care available. Thanks for your post.

Sorry. I hope they get answers for him very soon. The hardest part is not knowing what you are up against.

Hopefully, our boys will get the care they deserve.

Don't forget us 'girls'! Many of us served too.

Thanks for the holiday graphics and music. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around this Foxhole! ;-)

Half these problems come from lack of information.

Yes, but the media has access to this information and they have an obligation to keep the public informed.

I trust the media less than I trust the government.

The media would never lie to us. Nor would the government.

/sarcasm off/

LOL.

Thanks for your input g'nad. It doesn't sound coincidental to me that you three Marines had medical problems after your Gulf War service. I wonder how many of the others who served in the same unit as you also suffered after effects. I'm so glad you are OK after your brain tumor. When you retire, I hope you will seek the VA compensation you deserve.

You are right - stress can do bad things to your body. I have fibromyalgia as a result of my Gulf War service and increased stress usually triggers a 'flare' period for me.

I know from personal experience of people cured of all their symptoms by taking a strong round of Doxycycline.

Thanks for that info. I'm making note of this and will talk to my doc about it. I'm so damn sick of being sick and tired, I'll try almost anything to get back to 'normal'. I can just barely remember what that is! ;-)

Hi LJ! Glad you found your way to the Foxhole today. If you want me to leave you a trail of bread crumbs (ping) just let me know, OK?

Any Eagles sighted lately?
