Your intentions are obviously good. But your method is not okay. You are supposed to pick the one most relevant forum, and post there. Most of us see all the posts from all the forums, so your message will get out.

I know you wanted to make sure that everyone saw your post. But other people post very important things too - like health warnings, for instance. If everyone posted using your method, this site would become hopelessly clogged up with duplicates.

Thank you so much for replying with this. I now understand. When I come to FR I only visit Forum News and Activism, and thought every forum was self-contained. I contacted the moderator and I am sorry I screwed this up so badly.

Ah, now your little hiccup there makes sense. As I’m sure you’ve since realized, the forums are not self-contained. Most of us want to see all the forums. So for us, all the forums are mixed in together.

I’m not a moderator here. But as I see it, your posting mistake was VERY minor. So don’t sweat it! We know you had good intentions.

Now, here are some posting errors that are a big deal. As you can see, your error is nothing in comparison.

- Some folks will post links to their own blogs, as a way to get hits and make money. That’s taking advantage of FR for monetary gain, and is despicable.

- Some folks will post deliberately misleading information to make conservatives look bad. Is someone paying them to do that, or are they just bomb-throwers? Who knows?

I look forward to seeing more of your posts. Probably in the Religion Forum!

I heard on the satellite radio "Sailing" by Christopher Cross. A song from 40 years ago. But that was a pretty good song. Reminds me of Reagan's Labor Day general election campaign kick-off speech from NJ overlooking the Statue of Liberty as multiple sailboats cruised by, many of them flying the American flag.
