The bag ‘boy’ at the grocery store I go to was this little old man. One day I asked him if he was a vet, maybe WWII. He said he was. He was at Normandy. Half his platoon never made it to the beach. I had to wipe a little tear from my eye. I thanked him. I haven’t seen him in a while. I love those guys.

A Ping and a salute!
We've come all the way from these brave men and women to john edward's multiple families, little tony wiener's "weener", and of course, little billy clintoon!
We don't call the WWII vets the "Greatest Generation" for nuthin!

A debt that can only be paid to them by keeping America free for all generations.

I attended the Movie âSaving Private Ryanâ the first weekend it opened. it was a Sunday afternoon matinee and it was packed. A area up in the front of the theater was set aside for a large group of WW II Vets. When the movie was over you could have heard a pin drop in the place. And as we walked by I saw tears in the eyes of many of those Vets and on that day the meaning of Shakespeare's words struck me like a thunderbolt:
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
