The rattle of thunder was replaced by the rumble of Harley-Davidson motorcycles Friday afternoon as 20-year-old Tyler Southern came home from months of hospitalization at Walter Reed Army Medical Center following severe injuries from a bomb.
But the sky seemed to brighten when he lit up a big smile as he rolled to his parents home on Gathering Oaks Drive at 5:30 p.m., arms high as he rode in a motorcycle sidecar.

A lot of people who “just don’t have time” to attend one of these homecomings or think maybe its going to be too sad or depressing....are really the ones who miss out!
It is always an uplifting experience personally and also the wonderful sense of community to be with all the patriotic strangers, AKA “my countrymen and women”.
God Bless Cpl. Southern....He served....He sacrificed...He survived and came home. Thanks can never be enough for what he has given. We can NEVER FORGET what he and so many like him have done and ARE DOING to defend our uniquely American way of life.
