God bless to your beloved father and to all veterans . . . I can’t possibly imagine the bravery.
Thank-you..my father was a Marine...stationed in China 3 years.
Thank you very much.
They’re wonderful. I’m amazed at how clear they are.
My father was a private in the Army (132nd Field Artillery, Battery B, 36th Texas Division, 5th and 7th Army). It was the first army in Italy, France, and Germany and he’s an honorary citizen of Texas because he served with them!
Bookmarked. Thanks for sharing your Fathers part of History.
I did business with an older gent, now gone, who was a member of the 5th Marine Division. Iwo Jima was his first action, and all he ever said about the battle was that he survived it. That spoke volumes.
Got it bookmarked, Thanks for the link.
My Dad was on the USS Mississippi and saw service at Peleliu, the Battle of Surigao Strait, Leyte Gulf where it was hit by a kamakazi, and Okinawa where another kamakazi stuck her. His ship anchored in Tokyo Bay, witnessed the signing of the surrender documents.
Great pictures!

My 91 y/o dad(still here and well) was a Tech in the Army's
532 Amphibious engineers. 3 combat landings on New Guinea
and 1 with the Invasion of the Philippines. He was awarded
a Purple Heart for the latter landing.
I'm proud of the old boy...

Great photos. Thanks to you and your father.
I’ve a good friend at my VFW post who was on Iwo Jima...he’ll love these, I’m sure!
Thanks for posting these pictures. My cousin was in the 6th Marines
and in the Okinawa invasion, I believe, or Iwo Jima, then went on with the 6th into China to accept the Japanese surrender/s.
I’ll be sure he gets these photos. He’s in his eighties now but still
in good shape. Semper Fi.
