I am so livid right now. I ran across this article this morning from a guy who thinks that troops and vets don't deserve the pay and benefits they get...

Contractors working in Iraq and Afghanistan make from $400-$1000 per day for essential doing the same (or less) work than military personnel.
In fact, most of these contractors ARE ex-military personnel who got out to make more money.

He’s a twit and small potatoes. To paraphrase his own twisted crap - “he could disappear tomorrow and the nation would be just fine.” In fact, the Web, at least, would be better off.

Well, he is stick and twisted, and WRONG, but where are the ads, exactly?
I don’t see any ads? He mentions his book, but includes his article for free.....I mean I by far don’t agree with him, but it’s not like he has Google ads or whatever.
The only thing you can do with people like this is find their address and “accidentally” give it to some VFW vets. They’ll take care of him!
This “guy” is nothing but an attention seeking little girl. I remember hearing about him while he was in Syracuse, mainly for being the feminine hygiene containment unit that he is.

Apparently he tried to get into the military, but either washed out or was thrown out, or so the rumor goes. I haven’t checked into it, because it doesn’t really matter.
Is he one of those congressmen that think Sen Webbs’ proposal gives too much to our militay men and women?
It gets worse. After he originally had to have his “forsakethetroops” website shut down, this despicable POS decided to fake his death and blame the military.

On Monday evening, the webmaster of Forsake The Troops was brutally assaulted by two men, thought to be members of the military, in response to their opinions about this website. Mr. Crook had been the target of numerous death threats and trespassers at his residence. All of these threats were saved and have been turned over to the authorities.
UPDATE:
At 6:19pm Eastern time, Michael Crook died of his injuries, after being rushed by ambulance to the leading hospital in the area for head trauma. The two men who allegedly assaulted him are currently in the custody of police. Mr. Crook died with his wife and infant daughter present.
It is therefore the decision of his family, and associates that Forsake The Troops goes offline, to prevent further incidents of violence and threats against his family. Therefore, this domain will permanantly go offline at around 5pm Eastern time, on Tuesday, May 17th, 2005.

Now that I am retired.. I still disgusted by this little punk.. but I am surprised that he has contacts in the military that feeds him information and probably agrees with him to some extent (Thats according to his writings by the way)
But.. this is the U.S. He has freedom of speech.. even if he is wrong.. very very wrong no less.
He has not lived the life where you work a normal work day.. and then be subject to recall back to duty anytime day or night. He has not have to work extra hours for no compensation.. to complete a mission. He has not had to deploy to a foreign land where a politician sends him.. and to be possibly shot at.. bombs explode nearby etc. He never has had to be away from his love ones.. because the duty calls him/her to be somewhere where the family can and never should go..
Finally, an issue that the freepers and I can have absolute and complete agreement. This guy’s a complete idiot. I’d use other words, but I’d get edited.
