To: colorado tanker

LOL. Just to be clear, the car was at least 10 years old when I got it! I can't remember for sure the age.

Before I could drive it my dad and I nearly dismantled it to put on new brakes shoes and pads, new belts etc., this assured him that I knew how to take care of the thing myself first. I recall it lasted about 2 years when the U joints went out and then the engine finally caught fire.

I think those are the perfect cars for new drivers. The kids aren't spoiled and they're probably gonna run into something anyway!

I never could make any sense out of those push button transmissions, though. I'd rather have three on the tree than one of those!
