Here's a meager hint of what I've been working on.

Hint, you might have to ask hubby.

I've been introducing Spiderboy to the joy of model building.

No paint yet, we're working on the fine muscle control needed fo neatly build them.

Hey lady. I'm doin' pretty good.

I worked up in Ft. Worth 4 days week before last. Didn't call ya'll because I was working in close contact with co-workers and it wasn't really appropriate to go off on my own. My truck has been iffy on a couple of things and I keep having to nurse it through issues and the guy who got me the contract was transporting me around to meals and stuff so I wouldn't have to worry about the vehicle.

Looks like I will be working up there a bit in the next few months. I still have work to do for a few weeks in this neck of the woods but after that I will probably be somewhere in Tarrant county for a while. Will be getting in touch with ya'll as soon as I'm situated in that.

So, how did karate-boy do in his baseball finals? Did they go undefeated for the whole season?

I keep seeing the pings to Bitty Girl's vocabulary as I try to at least keep up with things. Those are quite entertaining. :-) I tell ya what, my grandson is getting so well-spoken that I can mostly understand everything he says on the phone now.

Am off to San Antonio to catch today's doings at the Republican Convention. Myranda is a delegate from Cooke county. I'm just an alternate so I worked yesterday and keeping up my capitalistic venture and am leaving at 4AM for my day there.

Again, this may be an adventure with the old pickup. Prayers for this old thing would be appreciated.

The Transaction

Now is the day of salvation. —2 Corinthians 6:2

Can more than half of the US adult population be wrong? A survey by the Barna Research Group recently revealed that 54 percent say that people who are generally good and do enough good things for others will earn a place in heaven. That is just one of many methods people suggest as ways to merit entrance into God’s eternal kingdom.

Let’s think about what has to happen for a person to get to heaven, and why the “good works” idea falls short.

First, we must recognize that we are all born spiritually dead. In Ephesians 2:1, we are taught that we “were dead in trespasses and sins.” The spiritual aspect of our existence was dead on arrival when we were physically born into this world. That soul, however, can be made alive. Paul described it like this: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22).

To be made alive, a transaction must take place. Something specific has to happen to turn what was dead into something alive. It is not triggered by good works but happens only when, by faith, you accept God’s gift of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2; Ephesians 2:8).

Is your soul alive today? If not, make the transaction and accept God’s wonderful gift. Dave Branon

Choose now, just now; your soul’s at stake;
What will your answer be?
’Tis life or death; the choice you make
Is for eternity.  —Anon.

Life’s biggest decision is what you do with Jesus.

The plane haging is a scratch built electric that Msdrby's dad built. Also note the Millenium Falcon built a long time ago, in an aprtment far, far away. Spiderboy is constatnly wanting to swipe it from me. heh heh heh.

karateboy's team was 7-2-1 going in to post season play. The first post season game was a challenge, but the team pulled through to an 11-9 win. Today, the team they played was undefeated... BUT they did not play the same teams as we did, AND they had a bye on the first post season game. By the third inning, the score was already such that they would not be able to catch up to us before the end of the game.

Monday night, karateboy's team plays a team they lost to (by one point) in the regular season.

Pretty cool!

I just showed all the pics to Hubby. He figured it out before we got to this pic. You two need to go flying and boating together. We'd have to scrape the barnacles off of his though. :^)

Hubby and I just survived Hobbit Lass' first teenage cookout/party with boys. Shudder. You have so much to look forward to with Biddy Girl.

Sunday Morning Bump for the Freeper Foxhole.

At each entrance of the Air Force Museum there are a fairly large number of benches that serve as memorials, I think. I will have to look at my book to see for sure. Here is a pic of one of them.

Samwise, as the father of THREE daughters I can only say it keeps getting better :-)

Off to work I go, groan

An Expensive Gospel

To you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake. —Philippians 1:29

On a teaching trip at a Bible institute in another country, my colleague and I were saddened to hear of legislation before the parliament that sought to outlaw the evangelical church. We shared our fears with our students that though we had come to train a generation of pastors, we might instead witness a new wave of persecution. We then joined with the students in prayer and worship to God about the matter.

After we concluded, one of the students said to me, “Thanks for being concerned for us, but don’t worry. We’ve learned that it’s not enough for us to preach the gospel or live for the gospel. It is necessary that we suffer for the gospel.” His words were not flippant but honest. Living for Christ often exacts a price.

Paul, writing from prison, said, “To you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake” (Philippians 1:29). His statement is daily lived out by believers around the world who experience hardship and persecution for no greater crime than living openly for the name of Jesus.

Let’s pray for God’s blessing and provision for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are paying an expensive price for embracing a salvation that is free. Bill Crowder

O for a faith that will not shrink
Though pressed by many a foe,
That will not tremble on the brink
Of any earthly woe.  —Bathurst

Those who live for God can expect trouble in the world.

Howdy, All,

We have an enemy more terrible than Hitler's Nazis. We have an enemy more implacably malevolent than Josef Stalin.

We have been heavily damaged by this enemy. We are losing.

"To protect the Constitution from all enemies either foreign or domestic." Remember the Military oath. An oath is forever.

I am not talking about Moslem fanatics. I am talking about our domestic enemy. El Queda's ilk are nothing in comparison.
