To: Professional Engineer
I am sure you have noticed my disappointment with NASA. I suppose I am too sentimental about Apollo.

To me the Saturn V and the Apollo ships generally were, as far as I can tell, really quite good designs. Problems can be found with the Command and Lander modules pretty easily, and I do figure I could have done better (no Egotism in THIS boy, no sirree Bob!!!!!!!!!) but really the machine was a real work of art in every way.

Myself, I think we should go to first principles. For example, Robert Truax's Sea Dragon:



Notice the dimensions - 60 feet in diameter and the nozzle mouth 66 feet across. Sweet.
