Vu Ky, the private secretary of President Ho Chi Minh, has died at the age of 84. Nguyen Thi Tinh, director of Ho Chi Minh Museum writes about the man.

Among the important contributions facilitating the work and daily activities of President Ho Chi Minh, there are the contributions made by his close assistants. Mr Vu Ky, the private secretary of Uncle Ho, was one of them.

Vu Ky was born from a civil servant’s family and grew up when the patriotic movement under the leadership of the Party developed into wide-spread national salvation movement. As a young man Vu Long Chuan (the original name of Mr Vu Ky) soon became aware of the revolutionary spirit. Leaving his Me Son village, Nguyen Trai commune, Thuong Tin district, Ha Tay province, Vu Long Chuan went to Buoi school and then took an active part in young people-launched activities against the imperialists in Hanoi. On October 25, 1940, at the age of 19, he was honoured by his admittance to the Party.

This is yet another installment of my Commie Comics. At first, I thought that this was about Jane Fonda (maybe the VNCP gave her a Vietnamese name to "honour her service"). Then, I read this article (thick with Commie Speak) and had a smirk on my face for two reasons. First, the prose is hillarious. Second, it marks the passing of another murdering commie b*stard. Maybe in Hell he will get to hear the screams of the people who VC cadres killed and tortured. Maybe the ghosts of the thousands who the NVA executed in Hue will haunt him for eternity. Fellow FReepers, feel free to weigh-in on the passing of another leading commie git.

I though that this line was one of the more humourous in the piece:

"During his years of serving Uncle Ho, Mr Vu Ky regularly took a note working diary, especially information on the activities of Uncle Ho. Later, he could provide reliable information about Uncle Ho to journalists or researchers."

I guess their idea of "reliable" information is on par with that of Dan Rather (maybe lower).

LOL.

I wonder if Traitor Jane is deeply saddened.

Hanoi Jane will probably be a pallbearer at his funeral.

She's probably making arrangements to go place flowers on his grave and remember that one wild night in Hanoi.
