Hi all.
Newbie here. Just trying to find out if there's anyone like me here? Still feeling my way around the site. Please forgive me if I bang into people or knock things over. hahaha
Where did you fight ?
bttt
Combat related???
Was deployed to Panama, Desert Shield/Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia/Iraq, and then to Afghanistan (where I was paralyzed from mid abdomen down.)

Don't know if I'm doing this correcctly. But yes, combat related, in Afghanistan.
Ok, I see the new postings by me now. Wasn't sure if I was doing this right.
From past military experience...Do not expect a great deal of care or concern from your government/military. Whatever value that has now will fade in the future.
Welcome to FR Gravel. Thank you for your service.
Welcome to Free Republic, Hero. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Please meet Jim Robinson, the FR founder/owner.
Like myself, I believe Jim is a Navy vet, but I can claim no injuries.
Again, welcome and God Bless.
Im a 0%er. GW vet, who had to take the non-FDA approved cocktail of drugs to combat the supposed 'GW Syndrome'. Never had problems tho.
Which units?
Im a JPJ plankowner from DesRon7, and I decommed Lockwood in Long Beach.
No knees, one bad hand, half a triceps and PTSD, undergoing a reevaluation.
Still get around OK, but slower.
No complaints...I volunteered for it...and looking from the grass on the right side.
Welcome
thank you for your service!
getting ready to post an article from military.com - appears some moron (calls hisself a republican) named buyers from indiana is redefining what a veteran is. if you are not "combat-related" disabled - you do not deserve any vet rights. some of us did shtuff behind the scenes, e.g. flying in un-armed a/c spooking that is not classified "combat" - hence would be 'unworthy' of being in buyers new definition of a vet. having come from the 'deniable' portion of service-connected vets - i'm righteously pissed off - who elected these "kofi annans"?
