The Lone Ranger was ambushed and captured by an enemy Indian war party. The Indian Chief proclaims, 'So, you are the great Lone Ranger. In honor of the Harvest Festival, you will be executed in three days. But, before I kill you I will grant you three requests. What is your first request?'
The Lone Ranger responds, 'I'd like to speak to my horse.'
Chief nods and Silver is brought before the Lone Ranger, who whispers in Silver's ear, and the horse gallops away. Later that evening, Silver returns with a beautiful blonde woman on his back. The woman enters the Lone Ranger's tent and spends the night.
The next morning the Indian Chief admits he's impressed. 'You have a very fine and loyal horse, but I will still kill you in two days. What is your second request?'
The Lone Ranger again asks to speak to his horse. Silver is brought to him and he again whispers in the horse's ear. As before, Silver takes off across the plains and disappears over the horizon.
Later that evening, to the Chief's surprise, Silver again returns, this time with a voluptuous brunette, even more attractive than the blonde. She enters the Lone Ranger's tent and spends the night.
The following morning the Indian Chief is again impressed. 'You are indeed a man of many talents, but I will still kill you tomorrow. What is your last request?'
The Lone Ranger responds, 'I'd like to speak to my horse, Alone!'
The Chief is curious, but he agrees and Silver is brought to the Lone Ranger's tent. Once they're alone, the Lone Ranger grabs Silver by both ears looks him square in the eyes and says, 'Listen carefully, for the last time, I said ........BRING POSSE!'

I read recently (probably of the 101st in WWII) that one of the officers quipped, "they've got us surrounded again, the poor bastards." ;') George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

Okay, I'm here. Where's this "Kerry"?

I'll have that cigar with you, General Bradley,
but first I've got a meeting with one "Kerry".

This is the most important of all the 'Battle of the Bulge' museums.

1925 Blues musician B. B. ("Blues Boy") (Riley B.) King. In the mid-1950s, while King was performing in Twist, Arkansas, some audience members got into a fight over a woman named Lucille. They knocked over a kerosene stove and set the place on fire. Everyboy ran outside...but when King realized he left his guitar inside, he rushed back to retrieve it. From then on, King has named all his guitars "Lucille."
Saw B.B. King in Boston in 1970 and Cleveland in 1974; with Lucille. I question the timing.
B.B. King is a Republican.
But what will he sing on November 3?

The only signal eggheads and Liberals understand is strength.
My own personal viewpoint is that the Liberals went ballistic over Viet Nam only after the Phoenix program (another good post but only if you can get materials unpoisoned by the Left) hit it's stride.
Phoenix should have been run here, in the real battlefield, the United States. Boy, would that have made Cronkite (his name in German is Krankheit, sickness) go nuts.

B.B. King is a very great guitarist. Hard to rank him, but surely in the top five. That he is a Republican makes me smile. Very good.
Your post is interesting, as it is usually. Make sure you don't cut back on the strangeness in your posts, though. I love it. You are actually funny, unlike the Seinfelds of this world. So deadpan. The shift from the Bastogne museum to B.B. King was great.

Evening Phil Dragoo

LOL! Nice Patton / Kerry theme. Thanks for the link to the Bastogne Historical Center. I was able to visit the "Nuts Museum" in 1971, I wasn't aware of the Historical Center. The Mardasson Memorial is an impressive memorial
