Morning aomagrat

USS Daiquiri, now there's a ship I know some people would have loved to serve aboard. I would have help out for service on the USS Harvey Wallbanger. ;-)

“Take a peek at the record of our (the 1st) battalion in the Ruhr pocket. I never saw anything click so perfectly as the football plays that Major Adams began calling shortly after we jumped off for Flammersbach. Don’t forget, we jumped off on the right flank, shifted to the left flank, and finally attacked through the center. We suffered the lightest losses and gained the most ground.”

Gee you think that one MIGHT have something to do with the other?

Amazing how that whole operation moved.

Morning, folks. Nice post. I bet after the Bulge, the Hurtgen Forest and the Siegfried Line, the troops were really up for an easier operation.

Where was Monty and the British? Carefully preparing for a future operation, no doubt.

The level of destruction in the German cities always startles me. Ordinary Germans paid a price for throwing in with evil.

The German cities look like they were "free fire zones," war crimes in John Effing Kerry's fantasy world. I suppose he was running a motor boat on the Rhine and shooting Germans in the back for medals in those days.

She collided with the Pina Colada and got wasted.

Few people know that Jimmy Buffet actually adapted Margaritaville from Ted Kennedy's old fave:

Wasted away again in Hyannisport
Searching for my lost shaker of salt
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
Now I think
Hell, it's George Bush's fault
I blew out my flip-flop
Stepped on a pop-top
Cut my heal had to cruise on back home
But there's booze in the blender
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on
Wasted away again in Hyannisport
Searching for my lost shaker of salt
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
But I know
It's George Bush's fault
Yes and some people claim that there's a woman to blame
And I know
It's George Bush's fault
