Thanks for your service. I never made it to the french beaches but did get to visit the Bulge battlefields. Spa, Bastonge, St. Vith, La Gleize, Malmedy. etc. It was a sobering experience. I wne in the summer and can't imagine tryiong to fight in that terrain in the dead of winter.

SAMWolf: I took the kids to Bulge battlefields, Luxembough, Spa, Bastonge, St. Vith, and all the Airborne Dropzones in Holland:)- Ex-JumpMaster! Also, took them down the Huretin Forrest Trail (14 miles) to the Zigfred-Line and into some of the old German bunkers/dragon teeth. Best part was the metal detector use in Luxembough and German bunkers - lots of stuff still to be found.
