After our house burned down in Wisconsin a few months ago, my husband and I packed our four young kids and all our belongings into a gold minivan and drove to my sister-in-laws place, just outside of Atlanta. On the back windshield, we pasted six stick figures: a dad, a mom, three young girls, and one baby boy.
That minivan was sitting in the front driveway of my sister-in-laws place the night a SWAT team broke in, looking for a small amount of drugs they thought my husbands nephew had. Some of my kids toys were in the front yard, but the officers claimed they had no way of knowing children might be present. Our whole family was sleeping in the same room, one bed for us, one for the girls, and a crib.
After the SWAT team broke down the door, they threw a flashbang grenade inside. It landed in my sons crib.
Flashbang grenades were created for soldiers to use during battle. When they explode, the noise is so loud and the flash is so bright that anyone close by is temporarily blinded and deafened. Its been three weeks since the flashbang exploded next to my sleeping baby, and hes still covered in burns.
Theres still a hole in his chest that exposes his ribs.

I’m sure you’ll recall your words in the lake of fire. Have fun, you’ll be spending a lot of time there ...:-) ...
Revelation 20:11-15
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Yep, the lake of fire.
-Your sadistic, imaginary pleasure in thinking about someone who challenges your superstitions being sent to a lake of fire, is duly noted. Are you a Sunni or Shiite?
I wish nothing but the best for you, wherever your afterlife is. I take no pleasure in seeing anyone suffering, unlike you and your Muslim counterparts, who saw people's heads off in the name of Allah.
Back to the Lake of Fire; The ultimate destination for anyone who dares to question the deities... Quite a fanciful creation, for an all knowing, all powerful and all *loving* god. But we saw what the priests did to Galileo, you no doubt would have approved of his trial and torture. The inquisition was big on that.
But the "lake of fire" is really just a mystical, fictional place, and like fire breathing dragons, only exists in the minds of blind photocopiers of abusive medieval history, such as yourself. You should wrap yourself in a red robe, wear a big pointy priest hat , and hold up a big golden cross, whenever you predict who going to suffer in hell for questioning authority... or asserting scientific facts. Have fun with that.

You’ll find out soon enough for yourself ... :-) ...
So called war on drugs is a joke.
I already know that the planet earth revolves around the Sun, and that there's no Thor, or Zeus, or Odin, or Santa Claus, or the Easter bunny.
But please do regale me of historical accounts of fish that swallow men whole, and spit them back out alive and of people who took a hundred years to build a boat to survive apocalyptic floods and people turned into pillars of salt and fiery chariots that whisk people magically into the heavens pulled by unicorns that travel backwards through time and space. And how I should submit to slavery... because God says so in Deuteronomy 15. :-/
I'm all ears.
I wouldn’t try to convince you, you’ll do that yourself in the lake of fire ... :-) ...
And I wouldn’t try to convince you that a kind and loving God wouldn’t approve of government tyranny, pokice abuse, slavery, sexual or otherwise, of any form. Because it’s obvious to all on this thread, that you openly endorse tyranny, statism, and slavery as Divine Providence.
It’s people like you, who create *hell on earth*.
Yep, it’s “hell on earth” because the devil is currently here. When the Messiah of Israel arrives and sets up his one-world government, ruling over all the nations of the world, from Jerusalem ... then it will be a very peaceful place.
Pay attention to this, as it says ...
Psalm 2
1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ “
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
The drug war is for no other purpose than police entertainment, training, etc.
“Does your mom know your gay?” and other pathetic arguments of the intellectually impotent.
“Should I not respond to the freaking nutcases?”
I don’t know. I’ve never seen you respond to yourself. It would be interesting if you did, I suppose.
“Ill save my applause for the cops that throw grenades on libertarians.”
So you support state run murder of those who oppose you politically. Color me surprised.
More children die every year from drowning in 5 gallon buckets than eat pot laced candy, so I suppose you support tossing hand grenades into baby cribs to confiscate buckets too??
This is a thread about thugs who blew up a kid with a grenade.
No drugs were involved. Read the story. Drugs were the pretense of the assault. None were found.
Nice try to deflect, though.
we all seem to agree there is waaayy too much ‘swat’ action and it seems to result in waaaayy too many unnecessary deaths and/or invasions which have terrible results.
What are WE going to do about it besides bitch? Personally I’m gonna write my Congressman and my state legislators.
There is no need for every two bit town to have a “cool” swat team and the establishment of swat teams in the Post Office dept and Dept. of Agriculture is ridiculous.
Okay, so the most fair Being of Light (lucifer, aka the devil, aka the serpent) fell from the heavens down to earth, after challenging God’s rule, and from what I recall from the weekly bible studies that I went to for twenty years, a third of the angels went with him. It was basically a divine coup attempt.
-But according to Revelations, the outcome of future events are already foretold and the results are in. So that means God can travel forward through time. Does your current church doctrine believe God can travel forward and backwards through time? Which sect of Christianity do you currently subscribe to?
It’s said in the Bible that God knows the beginning from the end. That’s a basic teaching in Christianity.
As far as what group I belong to, I generally say Bible-believing Evangelical Christian, along the lines of this historic church statement ...
Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy

I’ve been a member of Dallas First Baptist Church (Pastor Jefress there now).

It’s part of the Southern Baptist Convention.
I generally follow pastors and Bible teachers such as these (some are dead) ...
John Walvoord, Charles Ryrie, Mark Hitchcock, David Hocking, Dave Hunt, Thomas Ice, Randall Price, etc. (there are more, but you get the idea).
Re: “God knows the beginning from the end.”
-The only way for God to have knowledge of the beginning to end, is to already have been there. Meaning He can time travel. According to biblical teaching, God is all knowing from the beginning of time to the end of time , and yet was unable to prevent the outcome of past events, that being the attempted overthrow of His reign in Heaven by Lucifer and his rebellious cohorts.
And for the there to be evil existing in heaven once, wouldn't logic also follow that it will be repeated. Rarely are any events singular by natural laws. If an object falls to earth once, it will fall every time. Using sound reason and logic, He cannot be all powerful, if he was unable to prevent future events, that being the pride and vanity of his most fair and beautiful angel Lucifer. Have you ever considered how illogical that is?
We only know about attributes of God from what He has revealed of Himself. If He didn’t reveal it, we would not be able to find out.
What you say about time travel would put God “inside” his creation and subject to the laws of it. Now, we’re told by contemporary scientists that the attribute of “time” has to exist along with matter and the dimensionality of the universe and it’s existence. Time doesn’t exist as an entity in and of itself, but only in conjunction with matter and space. If ,after and space don’t exist, neither does time. If matter and space exist, then “time” must exist right along with it, at that moment.
God existed prior to creation which means he existed prior to time and is this not subject to it or part of it. At a certain point, God created everything seen and unseen (the universe and it’s existence, if you will).
So “time travel” doesn’t fit in this particular way that God has revealed himself.
As far as preventing things from happening. The Bible makes it clear that God had a plan from before creation - before anything was there. That plan included the fact that Lucifer fell, other angels with him, and sin entered creation by way of Adam and Eve’s actions.
You’re assuming that the proper choice of action would be to prevent it from happening. I can assure you, in a very “human way” (and God is much higher in his ways than humans) - I let bad things happen, knowing that they are going to, because I see it as the better course of action.
For example, there was my little boy (I call him mine, even though I’m more taking care of him than anything) ... who was playing around with the car doors in the driveway. He likes doing that, but from watching him I knew that he was going to slam his fingers in the door. I could see it coming. Now prior to that, over a period of time, I did take the effort to show him to not have his fingers in the way, but that didn’t sink in. So, I finally just watched, knowing what was going to happen, and it did. He came running and crying, and I comforted him - and then warned him again, later, about it.
But since then, I notice he doesn’t get his fingers in the way and he has not slammed his fingers in the door since then, and it’s been a long time.
I chose to let the bad thing happen, in order for a better thing later on. That happens a lot with people. It can certainly be the case with a God who created the universe, all things seem and unseen.
And then, you say God cannot be all powerful if he cannot prevent future events. You’ve got am assumption there that he wants to,prevent the things you think he should. That’s the mistake understanding God.
We all were created with a certain degree of free will - not unlimited, but within certain boundaries. Within those boundaries that God has set up, we do have our choices (again, not unlimited, but within limits). One of those area is that we can choose to abide with God and who he is - or - we can totally reject him and have nothing to do with him. God has set that up as something you can freely choose, within your overall boundary of free will.
Therefore much of what you see is God allowing what he has chosen to allow for people’s own free will. It’s not an inability to do anything, it’s a freedom he has granted. It won’t last forever, as this freedom is not totally unlimited, and there is a “day of accounting” for your choice - but you do have it in the meantime.
Your choice of having nothing to do with God will be honored and he will remove himself from you and all that is good and upright - and you will be left - in the end - in the lake of fire, with your own free will choice.
Well thank you, I must have missed the ‘point’ of the story, NOT.
My point remains the same, and you’ve just proven it with your comment.
